Jennifer Lawrence marries art dealer boyfriend Cooke Maroney in intimate Rhode Island ceremony
Jennifer Lawrence is now a married woman! The 29-year-old actress got hitched to her art dealer boyfriend Cooke Maroney on Saturday in an extravagant star-studded event in Belcourt of Newport, a mansion in Rhode Island, on Saturday, October 19.
According to People, the beautiful bride wore a Dior wedding dress on her special day. The couple threw a wedding reception party at the same venue. The mansion which has been inspired by Louis XIII's hunting lodge in Versaille was designed by renown architect Richard Morris Hunt in 1894. The guest list included several of J-Law's celebrity friends like Emma Stone, Sienna Miller, Adele, Cameron Diaz, and Kris Jenner. About 150 guests reportedly attended the wedding celebrations.
Ahead of their wedding on Saturday, the couple hosted a private rehearsal dinner on Friday night. The dinner took place on Rose Island. Daily Mail reported that large white tents were set up around the island to keep away prying eyes.
The couple was first linked in June 2018. In February, Jennifer was spotted sporting an engagement ring. Cooke and Jennifer were reportedly spotted at a marriage bureau in NYC in September. They were accompanied by a friend and two security guards, sparking rumors of their marriage.
In a podcast interview with Catt Sadler, Jennifer revealed that she knew Cooke was "the one". "I definitely wasn’t at a place where I was like, ‘I’m ready to get married. I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other, we wanted to commit fully. I want to legally bind him to me forever. And fortunately, the paperwork exists for such a thing. You find your favorite person on the planet and you’re like, ‘You can’t leave!’” she said.
