It wouldn’t be an award show in 2023 without the incredibly iconic @JENCOOLIDGE. She just made a surprise appearance to help us kick off the #GLAADawards (and these gays were not trying to kill her)

Coolidge believes that supporting the LGBTQ community equated to helping humanity. She said with affirmation, "We all have a right to be who we are and to love the people that we love and tell our stories and celebrate that in every way that we can."
'She is one of us'
GLAAD had another treat in store for the crowd during Coolidge's speech. To give her the Social Impact Award, Coolidge was joined on stage by her longtime friend and former 'Best in Show' co-star Jane Lynch. The star from 'Glee' spoke kind words about her friend as Lynch hugged a visibly surprised Coolidge.
As the two hugged and Lynch gave Coolidge the award, the latter said, "I love you, sweetie." Lynch told the audience, "This wonderful woman here was pro-gay before it was cool to be pro-gay." She continued to say, "She is one of us, ladies and gentle. And I have always said that the world has to catch up to Jennifer Coolidge. And the world has caught up to Jennifer Coolidge! One of the best, ladies and gentleman!"
'One word: Iconic'
Online fans were ecstatic over Coolidge's acceptance and respect for the LGBTQ+ Community. American subscription streaming service Hulu commented, "one word: ICONIC." One fan commented, "I love her so much!" "Queen," typed another fan. Another fan posted a GIF of Lynch and Coolidge. Another Twitter user posted, "Every lesbian on earth has watched these but my favs are carol and but i’m a cheerleader (also best in show is a great movie w jennifer coolidge and jane lynch as lesbians)."
