"Thank you very much," Coolidge, 61, began her acceptance speech. "Thank you, Critics Choice Awards." "Hey, what's so funny?" she continued, calling out an audience member who appeared to be laughing. "No, I just want to thank you. I know you've heard a lot from me this last month or two, but I just want to say this is such an honor. This is really kind of good as it gets. Not just from the east coast and west coast, but all over the country voting on this and I just want to say thank you." Coolidge concluded her speech by saying, "I just want to say to all the people out there, for anyone that's sort of given up hope, I hope this gives you inspiration. It's not over until it's over. It's not over till you're dead... Thank you so much."
There was another nominee who people think deserved the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama series instead of Coolidge. Rhea Seehorn from the hit series 'Better Call Saul". Sheehorn plays the role of Kim Wexler, a retired business lawyer and public defender. Kim, throughout her career, received praise as a lawyer for being highly skilled at negotiation and devising legal strategies for her clients to get them the best deals possible.
Rhea Seehorn's fans are not happy about her not winning the award and have criticised the decision openly on the Internet. One fan on Twitter said, "Rhea Seehorn ROBBED again." Another fan expressed his disagreement comically saying, "Tell me you havent watched Rhea Seehorn in Better Call Saul without telling me you havent watched Rhea Seehorn in Better Call Saul." One fan said, "If as many people saw better call saul as they did with white lotus, this would’ve been very different." Another added, "I love Jennifer more than anyone but Rhea Seahorn deserved this award."
