Jennifer Coolidge channels her inner dolphin in Super Bowl LVII ad, fans ask 'a dolphin movie when?'
GLENDALE, ARIZONA: Jennifer Coolidge is taking on the Super Bowl after dominating the awards circuit this year. The Emmy-winning star of HBO's 'The White Lotus,' together with show creator Mike White, worked on a 30-second commercial for e.l.f. Cosmetics, a TikTok addiction, and Gen-Z cosmetics provider. It aired during the Philadelphia Eagles vs Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday. Fans of the HBO star are overjoyed that her dream of playing a dolphin has finally come true.
Jennifer discovers the effectiveness of e.l.f.’s Power Grip Primer, a pre-makeup application recognized for gripping beauty items, in the brand's "eyes.lips.face.sticky" ad. The commercial is the brand's first to broadcast during the Super Bowl, and it was co-written by White and Shadow, e.l.f.’s longtime creative marketing and communications firm.

Mike co-wrote the script for the ad, which is the cosmetic brand's debut television spot. While fans wait to see if Jennifer will return for Season 3 of 'The White Lotus,' they may take solace in the knowledge that the recent Golden Globe winner appeared in the e.l.f. commercial. Jennifer plays herself in this video, and she has a lot of fun testing out the brand's Power Grip Primer for the first time. Jennifer compares her skin to that of a young dolphin after using the primer, and even mimics the sound of one. "It looks like I came from the sea," she continues, which has nothing to do with 'The White Lotus' but seems uncomfortably close to home when you recall Tanya's, eh, dip in the water in the season finale.
Jennifer went viral again after winning Critic's Choice because she indicated she'd like to play a dolphin in her next role. She claimed at the Golden Globe Awards that her ideal role would be to "play a dolphin," with film director Olivia Wilde declaring she "would make it happen."
During the award event, Access Hollywood asked Jennifer, "What's the ultimate dream role for you now? If anything that could happen, what would it be?" Jennifer said without hesitation, "I've always wanted to play a dolphin."
