'Announcing his Illuminati membership': Jack Harlow trolled for his Doritos Super Bowl LVII commercial
GLENDALE, ARIZONA: Louisville rapper Jack Harlow got to show off his chops alongside Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Elton John for Doritos' latest Super Bowl campaign. But what the tortilla chip brand didn't expect were the Illuminati theories sparked by the star-studded commercial.
Doritos, which made its 23rd appearance at the Big Game this year, is a brand to keep an eye on. This year's commercial features the newest chip flavor, Doritos Sweet & Tangy BBQ, as well as musical sensations from Missy Elliott and Jack Harlow. People were convinced that with two notable personalities, it would be a solid commercial. However, immediately after the spot was unveiled during the event, some unfavorable theories were put forth.

Jack Harlow's Doritos commercial sparks Illuminati theory
In a new Doritos Super Bowl commercial, Jack Harlow loses the Triangle Player of the Year award to Elton John. At the beginning of the commercial, Jack is seen in the studio struggling to find the right sound for a song he's working on. "I just need to try something new," he muses when he notices a triangle in the corner of the room. As a result, the celebrity sets out to become an unlikely triangle hero - despite Missy Elliott's reservations. "I gotta do me, Missy," he says, before showing a montage of him teaching new triangle students, signing triangles from loving admirers and spreading triangle fever around the world. At an awards ceremony, however, Jack is defeated by Elton, who takes the stage playing a giant triangle instead of his normal piano.
Many others, however, compared the triangular representation in the commercial to the Illuminati theory. The Illuminati should be at the top of every conspiracy theorist's list of mysterious cabals that supposedly rule the globe. Although the Illuminati no longer exist, the fact that many people still have obsessive notions about them has led to these reactions.
'Giving me Illuminati vibes'
Fans quickly took to social media to share their thoughts, "That jack Harlow triangle commercial for Doritos was giving me Illuminati vibes idk." Another added, "Jack Harlow announcing his Illuminati membership in the least subtle way possible." Calling it a pity, a fan wrote, "Imagine living in 2023 and still not being able to identify blatant programming/mind control in every aspect of mainstream media." A fourth person wrote, "The Jack Harlow Commercial was a little weird with all the triangles and phrases and holograms of the pyramids. Not to be a conspiracist but it’s a little Illuminati ish."

While trying to connect the dots, a fan wrote, "Forgot to mention Jack Harlow wore red in his triangle "illuminati" commercial, which furthers the connection. I for one don't think the illuminati is what we the masses think it is..." What ticked the viewers you ask? "That Jack Harlow commercial was an illuminati commercial with all them “triangles”"
