Jeff Bridges looks dapper in black suit as he hits SAG red carpet with wife of 45 years Susan Geston
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hollywood veteran Jeff Bridges joined several A-list attendees at the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles after his performance in FX's 'The Old Man' was nominated for Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Drama Series.
Bridges looked dapper in a black three-piece suit, which he matched with a white dress shirt and black bowtie, as he made his grand entrance with the love of his life, wife Susan Geston, by his side. He walked the red carpet while being photographed, sporting a full beard and mustache, salt-and-pepper hair pulled back from his face, and black shoes.

The son of the late, great actor Lloyd Bridges had his arm affectionately wrapped around his wife's shoulders or back much of the time they spent posing on the red carpet. Geston, who turns 70 in 2023, displayed her fashion sense with what seemed to be a black jumpsuit with delicate gray stripes running up and down the clothing. Her blonde hair fell down her back, except at the front, where it was pulled back off her face. She also wore a pair of golden flowery, open-toe flats and completed the look with a blazer-like, gold and black-patterned jacket without lapels. The couple will mark their 46th wedding anniversary in June. They have three children, Isobel, 41, Jessica, and Haley, 37.
Bridges' CIA agent in 'The Old Man'
'The Old Man', a television series by Jonathan E Steinberg and Robert Levine, is based on Thomas Perry's 2017 book of the same name. Production for the series started and stopped twice during filming: once as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and again as a result of Bridges' health issues, which included contracting COVID-19 and receiving a lymphoma diagnosis and treatments.
While promoting season one of 'The Old Man', Bridges revealed to People in May 2022 that he has been in remission since September 2021. "I was pretty close to dying. The doctors kept telling me, 'Jeff, you’ve got to fight. You're not fighting.' I was in surrender mode. I was ready to go. I was dancing with my mortality," the star told the publication.
The first season of 'The Old Man', which included seven episodes, eventually debuted on FX on June 16, 2022. Shortly after its premiere, the drama-thriller series received a second season order. Bridges portrays Dan Chase, a former CIA agent who has lived off the grid in Vermont for 30 years. Chase hides out after killing a burglar who broke into his house. He then rents a room from Amy Brenneman's character, Zoe McDonald, who he forces to be his traveling companion.
