Jay-Z says Beyonce is BETTER than Michael Jackson, even Beyhive is not convinced

No one denies the legend Queen Bey is, but some netizens feel comparing her to Michael Jackson was going a little too far

Jay-Z stirred a hornet's nest by saying that wife Beyonce is an "evolved" version of late legend Michael Jackson. During a recent chat on Twitter Spaces, Jay-Z said, "Bey’s gonna be mad at this for saying this but Michael Jackson never had a Coachella."

Jay-Z further added, "She’s an evolution of him because she watched him at 9. And the kids are the same." Recalling Beyonce's wowing performance at Coachella Music Festival 2018, Jay-Z added, "Find me a concert that’s as culturally relevant and thrilling as Coachella."

Jay-Z further explained that the 'Run The World' artist will always be the greatest in his eyes because she is dedicated to learning. He said, "Beyoncé is gonna be one of the best singers we ever heard because she is such a student."

No one denies the legend Queen Bey is, but some netizens feel comparing her to Michael Jackson was going a little too far. A Twitter user said, "I Love Beyoncé but don’t take it too far saying she’s better than Michael Jackson." Another user commented, "I dont think Michael Jackson would've ever performed at a Coachella event in the first place lol."

Another user argued thus, "He didn't need to. Honestly, Beyonce's team needs to worry about creating a lasting catalog. MJ's all good. His 30-40 year old albums chart even today."

This gif shared by a Twitter user was captioned, "If Beyoncé took me back after cheating, I’d say she was better than all the Mikes. Tyson, Jordan, Phelps. That Angelo n*gga that painted that ceiling. All them n*ggas."

Another user said, "Michael Jackson was bigger than Coachella." Looking at how netizens reacted, Kevin Durant tweeted, "Gen Z got Jay-Z fucked up."

Explaining his point of view and what got him comparing his wife and Michael Jackson, Jay-Z said, "What I’ve learned from her is similar to what I learned from Mike  [Jackson]. I know that’s blasphemy to compare the two because Mike was such an innovator — but I think she’s like the second coming."

Other than this, not much has been commented on by either Queen Bey or Michael's family. 

Jay-Z and Bey first met in 2000. However, they did not start dating until 2001. In 2008, the duo secretly got married. Based on the music these artists have been launching, rumors about Jay-Z cheating on her have surfaced. They have three children together, Blue Ivy, eight, Sir, three, and Rumi, three.
