Starring Justice Smith as Owen and Brigette Lundy-Paine as Maddy, the movie explores the eerie consequences of bonding over a canceled TV show. With a runtime of 100 minutes, the drama feature film is all set to hit theaters on May 3.

In the trailer released on Wednesday, February 28, we catch a glimpse of Lindsey Jordan, known by her stage name Snail Mail, as she makes her first appearance in a feature film, portraying Tara, as part of ‘The Pink Opaque’ duo.

Owen forms a friendship with an older classmate, Maddy, who introduces him to an intriguing TV show called, ‘The Pink Opaque’.

According to Maddy's description, the series follows teen girls Tara and Isabela (Helena Howard), who share a psychic bond and unite to fight new monsters creeping from various corners of the county.

Initially serving as an escape from their turbulent lives, the boundaries between the show and reality blur. Owen dismisses the merging worlds as just "a TV show" until Maddy disappears, and the series gets axed, forcing him to confront the confusing blend of fiction and reality.

The official synopsis reads, “Teenager Owen is just trying to make it through life in the suburbs when his classmate introduces him to a mysterious late-night TV show — a vision of a supernatural world beneath their own. In the pale glow of the television, Owen’s view of reality begins to crack.”
