OUT OF ACTION: Cameron Diaz's comeback film halted after Jamie Foxx calls cops over SCAM
LONDON, UK: Cameron Diaz's comeback film is reportedly on hold after a fraud scheme was discovered in which Jamie Foxx was scammed out of $40,441. An employee was reportedly fired as a result of an investigation conducted for the Netflix film 'Back in Action'
The police were reportedly informed of the incident, as it's believed that the same employee had been involved in previous attempts to extort substantial sums of money from famous people. "This film has been a bit of a nightmare. There have been a lot of delays, especially with the weather thanks to filming outdoors in London in winter, but the latest issue is a bit more sinister," a source told The Sun.

Someone tried extort more than $40K from Jamie Foxx
The source added, "One staffer has been sacked, and there are investigations after someone tried to get access to £33,000 in cash from Jamie Foxx. It sounds as though they tried to offer up a Rolex watch as part of the deal but now there’s an investigation into everything going on. People will be glad when this thing finally wraps."
This comes after reports that it is not unlikely Diaz will return to Hollywood after struggling with long work days that separated her from husband Benji Madden and their 3-year-old daughter Raddix. Diaz retired from her Hollywood career in 2018, but was persuaded by her close friend Foxx to star in the action comedy 'Back In Action.' A source close to Diaz revealed to the Daily Mail that while she has no issues with Foxx, she is unlikely to return to the film world once the project is completed.
'Cameron loves being a mom more than anything'
The insider stated, "These back-to-back 10-hour workdays have been a lot on her, and she hates being away from Raddix. Cameron loves being a mom more than anything in the world. She hates drama and confrontation. This is why she retired from the business in the first place. She has already proven herself in the industry and has nothing left to prove to anyone."
Diaz retired from Hollywood in 2018 to spend more time with her husband. The two had a daughter together in December 2019 and have kept a very low profile about their lives as parents. Since announcing her retirement, Diaz has turned to other ventures, including launching her own wine brand, Avaline, with business partner Katherine Powers at the height of the pandemic in 2020.
