LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As we edge closer to the release of ‘The Flash’ one can’t help but think about the importance of this movie in the DC universe as a whole. ‘The Flash’ takes its inspiration from the comic series ‘Flashpoint’ which opens the door to DC’s multiverse. So, if you thought Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness’ was crazy, ‘The Flash’ is about to take it up a notch. Speaking of Marvel and DC, what’s the one thing both franchises have in common? James Gunn.

James Gunn has most recently bid goodbye to Marvel after directing ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ and is now making his way to DC. His first project will be ‘Superman: Legacy’. In the meantime, he has expressed his thoughts about ‘The Flash’. Gunn's writing and direction and the release of ‘The Flash’ are both pivotal for the growth of DC and will determine how things shape up for the franchise moving forward.

What does Gunn think of ‘The Flash’?

Considering the fact that ‘The Flash’ will open doors for Gunn and his future movies with DC, it’s no surprise that the former ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director enjoyed his experience watching ‘The Flash’. According to The Credits, Gunn said, “Like it’s one of the best superhero movies I’ve ever seen. [Director] Andy Muschietti did an amazing job.” In addition to that, as per sources, when asked by reporters about ‘The Flash’ Gunn responded with, “Can I say one more thing? ‘The Flash’ is f**king amazing,”

The early screenings of ‘The Flash’ have received mixed reviews, but all critics have been raving about Michael Keaton’s Batman. Nevertheless, it is always good for the fans to know that Gunn has faith in movies that he isn’t entirely involved with, especially considering he is DC Studios’ newest co-chief and the future of this franchise rests in his hands.

Gunn comments on Ezra Miller

Ezra Miller is a major part of ‘The Flash’, if not the most important, considering he plays the character Barry Allen, aka The Flash himself. Miller has been a part of several controversies and allegations but continues to remain a part of this film. In a brief conversation with AP Entertainment, a reporter asked Gunn, “Are there plans for Ezra in the future with the DC Universe?” Gunn responded, “We’re just going to have to wait and see. You know, I mean, we’ll see how things go, so, you know.” While he didn’t seem too sure, only time will tell if Miller will make an appearance in future DC movies directed by Gunn.
