Gere, along with his wife and two children, recently went to Nuevo Vallarta to celebrate Alejandra Silva's 40th birthday. A few days ago, Silva shared pictures on social media of them walking toward the beach. Soon after that, it was reported that Gere was unwell. Richard Gere hospitalized due to pneumonia
TMZ reported that the actor got pneumonia while he was vacationing with his family. According to the reports, Gere had a bad cough way before he reached the vacation destination. The same continued to accelerate while he was having a fun time with his family. The condition got so severe that he had to consult a doctor. The report claims that Gere was hospitalized and treated during an overnight stay. Thankfully, nothing significant has been reported since. He checked out of the hospital in good condition the following day. To keep away the cough and pneumonia, Gere was provided antibiotics and sent back to his family. The star is reportedly doing well now.
Alejandra Silva reveals everyone in family has been unwell
While Silva and her husband Gere were vacationing, the 40-year-old revealed that a lot of their family members have fallen ill lately. As she turned 40 this week, she shared a post on Instagram thanking her fans. Silva wrote, "Thank you all for the birthday wishes." She added, "After almost 3 weeks of everyone being sick in our family today finally I feel much better!" It was not clear in the post whether Silva was talking about her husband or other family members. She ended her post with, "Thank you for all the love I give it all back to you!"
This post sparked a lot of rumors on the internet. After Gere was missing from the photo, a fan asked, "Where is Mr. Gere?" To this, a fan replied, "they look very happy together.. he was actually admitted to a hospital in Mexico sick."
