LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Margot Robbie's 'Barbie' has been the talk of the town since last week as soon as her movie's trailer was shown at the beginning of 'Avatar: The way of water.' Robbie seems to love the spotlight as she is again making headlines for her other movie, 'Pirates of the Caribbean ' which was previously stated to be canceled. But is it?

Margot Robbie previously stated her spin-off movie was getting slashed in the middle however, the producer of 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' Jerry Bruckheimer, was seen affirming the future of the franchise as he expressed confidence that both promised projects - the official 'Pirates of the Caribbean 6' as well as the Robbie spinoff - were still in development. The 'Pirates' franchise as a whole has garnered 4.5 billion dollars at the worldwide box office, with the first film being a sleeper hit that launched four more sequels. The last of the films, 'Dead Man Tell No Tales,' earned over 740 million dollars worldwide, but was considered a disappointment by critics.

Despite Margot Robbie's claim that Disney canceled 'Pirates of the Caribbean 6,' producer Jerry Bruckheimer told The Hollywood Reporter that the film is still alive for Disney. He said that Robbie's comments that the film was perhaps jumping the gun and that "we believe we’ll get it made."

"Oh God, they’re all hard to crack. I think we’re getting very close on [Pirates 6], too. We have a very good script. We developed two of them - the one with Margot Robbie and one with a younger cast. The Margot Robbie one needs a little more work. The younger cast one is close. Hopefully, we’ll get both of them," said Jerry Bruckheimer

He further said, "Robbie's Pirates film is alive for me. It’s alive for Disney. I’m sure she was disappointed it didn’t go first or maybe not because she’s very busy, so it might be a blessing to push this a bit. We believe we’ll get it made. It’s a very strong story."

However, no filming date nor any release date was announced for the Margot Robbie spin-off movie.
