Is Gwen Stefani quitting 'The Voice'? Speculations rise as coach announces new hosting gig amid backlash from fans
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Gwen Stefani is speculated to be leaving 'The Voice' Season 24 as coach after a new hosting gig with 'Today With Hoda & Jenna' was announced.
As the show announced the news, fans took to X to speculate whether Blake Shelton's wife will be leaving NBC's singing competition show.
'Today With Hoda & Jenna' posted pictures of Gwen and co-host Zanna Rassi, saying, "We’re so excited to launch our new series Shop the Drop with @zannarassi and @gwenstefani on @hodaandjenna!"
The post further claimed, "Zanna is sitting down with Gwen for an intimate conversation about family, fashion, beauty, new music and more. And the best part? Gwen has an exciting discount for us you won’t want to miss!"
Gwen was seen flaunting her red fishnet corset top, along with a white netted shirt and red pants. On the other hand, entertainment journalist Rassi was flaunting a black outfit.
A fan took to X to speculate, "Gwen Stefani drops huge career news after fans spot ‘clue’ she’ll quit The Voice."
Another wrote, "After this knockout, I wouldn’t blame Gwen for not coming back as a coach…heck, if prob just go ahead and not finish the season…i may even retire from singing."

Gwen previously faced backlash from 'The Voice' fans for her judging style on the show.
A user took to Reddit and asked, "Should Gwen Stefani continue as a Voice judge?" The user further claimed, "Many people criticize her judging style but she does have one win under her belt. However, looking here it seems her focus is more on her other brands. What do you think?"
Another claimed, "She annoys me so much by trying to be cutesy. I know she’s very successful and I’ve actually been to a No Doubt concert, but she doesn’t have that great of a voice and I haven’t seen her really coach someone into a win. Carter was already good when he won. I’d be happy if she didn’t come back."
When did Gwen Stefani join 'The Voice' as a coach?
Stefani joined NBC's 'The Voice' in Season 17 after replacing Christina Aguilera as coach. In April 2014, she made a special appearance at Coachella festival, confirming she will be joining the singing reality show.
Stefani has been an on-and-off coach for years. She was in Season 9, 12, 17, 19, and 20. The singer returned in Season 24 after her husband Blake Shelton's departure from 'The Voice.'
Blake Shelton trolls wife Gwen Stefani amid his departure
Blake Shelton left 'The Voice' claiming he wanted to spend more time with his family. However, when the news of Stefani joining the NBC show as a coach circled just after his departure, Shelton took to 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' to teasingly troll his wife.
He said, "So maybe she doesn't want too much family time. I don't know. Money talks."
He further added, "If it shows you anything, like, we're completely not involved in each other's decision making when it comes to our careers. She's Gwen Stefani and that's its own machine, you know what I'm saying, and so it's like, 'Oh wait, oh you're going back? Because I just quit. So I'll catch you next spring."
