Ever since BigHit announced the small-sized venues for TXT’s first world tour ‘Act: Lovesick’, fans have not been happy with the management. Despite the huge demand from fans worldwide as evident from the boy group’s album sales and Lollapalooza’s personal invitation to TXT for their music festival, they got rookie-sized venues. The largest venue only had an 8.5k seating capacity which had fans claiming that BigHit was underestimating their artists. And now the busy schedule of the American leg of their tour has taken a toll on Beomgyu.

Fans were worried as during a Rolling Stone interview in New York, TXT’s Beomgyu looked visibly exhausted. MOAs (TXT’s fandom) had also slammed fans for not wearing masks at the concerts which could put TXT at risk. Well, on July 11, TXT visited the Rolling Stone HQ in New York and was in the middle of an interview when Beomgyu looked shaken. He then raised his hand to the staff behind the camera and asked to be excused. MOAs were grateful that the staff gave him permission as he then left the location.

Beomgyu leaves interview in between

With TXT set to head to Atlanta on July 12, their NYC schedule was packed as on the same day as the Rolling Stone interview, they were also booked for Good Morning America. In hindsight, fans noticed that while Beomgyu did perform well, he had looked tired on GMA. Well, during the Rolling Stone interview, fans commended Kai for handling the situation well as he assured fans and the host that Beomgyu was simply going to the bathroom. The host also noticed that Beomgyu looked a little sick and pointed out that TXT had been pretty busy for the last few days.

Fans who had waited outside the HQ noticed that Beomgyu had left before the rest of TXT and hoped that he was getting medical attention. We later had leader Soobin updating fans that they were taking care of Beomgyu who was just a little sick. We also had Beomgyu coming online to let fans know that Soobin had taken care of him and that he was alright. But fans and Knetizens are upset that BigHit is pushing Beomgyu as they brought back the time he continued to perform with an injured leg.

‘Glad he left at some point’

One Knetz commented, “But if he's sick to the point he had to leave mid-broadcast, can't he let the agency handle the statement later? In the end, the singer himself had to come forward and tell the fans he's okay to appease them. I f**king don't understand Bighit.” Another said, “He's the kid who kept on holding back to complete the stage, so I wonder how much in pain he was that he left in the middle..ㅠㅠ Beomgyu please recover wellㅠㅠ.” One fan was thankful he prioritised his health, “Glad he left at some point. so many instances of idols near passing out on the job and fans getting on twitter and saying shit like “theyre so professional they performed while injured/sick” just reinforcing the mindset. if you feel that ill u don't need to be there at all.”

MOAs have also taken to sending supportive messages to Beomgyu. One fan tweeted, “Beomgyu we love you and we're proud of you get lots of rest when you can all of you deserve it.” Another said, “I'm glad that Beomgyu hasn't pushed himself to get through this interview and sat it out and I hope its nothing serious and he will get better soon without feeling bad about it.”

One MOA shared, “Huening kai handled the situation so well, waving happily to beomgyu & telling us he’s going to the bathroom so no one gets worried.. i hope beomgyu feels better soon and that all the members get some rest after this.” Another fan added, “i love you so much pls tc of yourself.” One commented, "Beomgyu, u can say anything to us, tell us if u're sick, tell us if u not feeling well, i need to see his face asap, for now i trust u if u said u're okay on weverse."
