The deeper you dive into 'Belgravia: The Next Chapter,' the more invested you become. The series delves into the dynamics surrounding Lord Frederick Trenchard, exploring the demons of his past and the complexities of his marriage with Clara Dunn.

'Belgravia: The Next Chapter' Episode 3 however sheds more light on Dr Stephen Ellebry, who is gradually becoming a more concrete character within the narrative.

While Ellebry's interest in Clara remains the focal point, 'Belgravia: The Next Chapter' also delves into historical the Wanstead Flats rally, which took place in 1871. According to Layers of London, this was a 'key moment in the successful campaign to save Epping Forest from development.'

While there's only a brief mention of this event in 'Belgravia: The Next Chapter,' it could help pit Dr Stephen against Frederick later in the series, in addition to the growing tensions and friendship between Clara and Dr Stephen.

Are the characters in 'Belgravia: The Next Chapter' based on real people?

As 'Belgravia: The Next Chapter' unfolds with only three episodes released so far, there is no proof that the characters in the periodic drama are based on real people.

However, much like the Wanstead Flats rally in 1871, there might be other historical references sprinkled across 'Belgravia: The Next Chapter' that one might have to look out for.
