Is aespa's Winter okay? K-pop idol sports IV marks and bruises for the THIRD time
After aespa’s Winter was seen sporting what looked like IV marks for the third time publicly, fans are upset at her label SM Entertainment and are demanding answers. The monster rookies are currently at their peak as aespa became the first girl group to make a million sales in the first week of an album release and then went on to debut at #3 on Billboard 200. aespa is also constantly making history in the year of 2022 from being invited to Coachella and the UN to being acknowledged by the likes of Time and Forbes. However, their gruelling schedule seems to be taking a toll on Winter.
In a recent behind-the-scenes vlog for the filming of ‘Girls’, fans noticed a makeup artist covering Winter’s bruises that were allegedly left by an IV drip. She was again seen with marks on her arm in the behind-the-scenes vlog for the ‘Life’s Too Short’ filming in June. On July 16, aespa appeared on the music show ‘Show! Music Core’ to perform ‘Girls’. While Winter was standing still, fans could again see marks on her arm for the third time. Following the stage, Winter backed out from a fansign taking place on July 17 without any announcement from SM regarding the reason.

Winter apologizes to aespa fans
It seems that Winter saw the uproar online as fans were worried about her health and came to apologize to MYs (aespa’s fans). The aespa star wrote, “You made time to come to see me, I'm really really sorry...ㅠㅠ I was so happy at the thought of seeing you, but unlike what I thought, I still haven't gotten betterㅠㅠ I'm sorry for disappointing youㅠㅠ I was completely fine yesterday... I thought (SM) had already announced it yesterday. I can't imagine how you feel to find out about the news like this, I'm really sorry. I will make up for today...! I will get some rest today and get better soon. I'm really sorry. I miss you.”

‘Let Winter rest’
Fans are angry that Winter had to apologize for falling sick and are slamming SM for overworking her. A Knetizen wrote, “SM didn't announce it beforehand, fans only found out after they arrived at the venue and saw three chairs. I really hate SM for making a sick girl apologize to everyone.” Another shared, “This is very heart-breaking to see, I hope she will get better soon~ SM is so f*cking bad at taking care and protecting their artists.” Another MY tweeted, “You made winter appear in the music show ytd even though she is still not feeling well we saw the IV drip mark... Take care of the kids health first SM.”
