Internet calls Aubrey O’Day ‘bitter’ after she slams Bhad Bhabie and Addison Rae for 'lacking talent'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Marriage Bootcamp' star Aubrey O’Day reportedly said TikTok stars Bhad Bhabie and Addison Ray "talentless." In an interview with SiriusXM, the reality star and singer addressed the "lack of talent" and the "talentless artistes" dominating the music industry today. The former ‘Danity Kane’ band member said that she had “a chip on her shoulder” about how the industry deemed people famous these days.
O'Day called out Bhabie and Rae for being famous just for dancing and for a catchphrase. She said, “Beyonce can release a genius album, and the two biggest artists that have huge record deals are Addison Rae and Bhad Bhabie.” She even struggled to pronounce Bhabie’s name during the interview and called her the 'Cash me outside girl'. She continued, “OK let’s stop pretending they have talent.”

She continued, “I don’t know if what they did. I don’t know the dances that she did on TikTok, I’m sure they were very impressive.” She also claimed that the current generation of singers doesn’t have it as hard as her generation did and said, “Um, maybe she should go with Gil and learn Janet Jackson’s choreography like we had to.” Adding, “Stand in front of Diddy, Jay-Z or LA Reid and sing and prove yourself every day, like I had to!”
The singer also claimed that anyone could be a star these days, saying, “Nowadays, the gatekeepers are gone. Everybody thinks they’re a star, everybody can be a star.” She continued in her rant, “You can fart the national anthem on TikTok, and you’re more famous than me, you’re more relevant than me, you have bigger numbers than me. The old school people that really had to fight through the gatekeepers every step of the way. There’s a good group of us that have a little chip on our shoulder about how things have transitioned.”
While many people agreed with O'Day's statements, a few noted that the singer seemed bitter about the newcomers’ success. One person wrote in the comment section of the video, “She sound bitter. Times change and u have to change with them. Can’t be mad they getting they 15sec how they get it. A hustle is a hustle.” A netizen agreed to the comment, penning, “I agree with what she’s saying…but she sounds bitter saying it. Adapt or die.” Another added, “You should never have a chip on your shoulder about someone else’s success.” Another person also wrote, “While I understand what she’s saying, I’ll never understand the generation before us wanting us to struggle just because they did and not just in music just in general.”
A netizen slammed O'Day for her statement, writing, “And your “talent” is what exactly apart from running your mouth?” While another called her out adding, “Bitter. Danity Kane was the Kmart edition of pussycat dolls and “let’s be honest”, being on p diddys show isn’t exactly what I’d call 'fighting through.'” Another person also wrote, “I mean i hate it bcuz im an artiste and its just super corny for artistry but i like it too bcuz id rather see ppl gettin money than being broke 🤷🏾♂️. My advice to artistes is figure out your shit and dont look at other pplz lives. Its tuff.”
