Although the cute pictures and love-struck video montages posted by couples on social media may push us into believing that marriage and relationships are all sunshine and roses, it couldn't be farther from the truth, It takes a lot of hard work and effort to make a relationship work, and even your favorite celebrities aren't exempted from marital woes and relationship drama.

If watching celebrity relationship drama is your thing, then 'Marriage Boot Camp' might be your new favorite show. The upcoming Season 16 of 'Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition' features four hip-hop couples: Hip Hop legend N.O.R.E and his wife Neri, two-time Grammy Award nominee Monie Love and Tuff, Producer Mally Mall and Treasure, and 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’s favorite on again off again couple Siir Brock and Amber Laura. Through a series of tests and challenges, the couples try to figure out if the person they are with is "the one" for them or if they are better off single. Dr. Ish Major & Judge Lynn Toler will be by the couples' side throughout their journey trying to mentor and guide them.

'Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition' Season 16 premieres on Thursday, October 7 at 9/8c on WE tv. Following the show's premiere, you can catch new episodes every Thursday at 9/8c on WE tv. The show is available for streaming on WE tv's website here

Plot

Four famous couples in troubled relationships join the show to see if they can work past their issues or if it is time for them to jump the ship. Resident counselor Dr Ish Major, along with Judge Lynn Toler is back. Their no-nonsense, no BS tough love will be doled out to pull these celebrities out of the clouds and put them back into reality. Dr Ish and Judge Toler force the couples to dig deep to confront lies, tears and denials. But when dark secrets are ultimately exposed, will the couples continue to make beautiful music together or decide it’s time to go solo?

According to the sneak peek clip teased by the showrunners, the upcoming season will be the "toughest season ever" filled with deception, lies, betrayals, cruel disrespect, and the biggest truth bomb in the history of 'Marriage Boot Camp'. Considering the show was filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic and the couples had to quarantine for two weeks in their hotel rooms and later spend ten days with each other means there will be loads of drama awaiting us.  

N.O.R.E and his wife Neri who have been married for over a decade have a host of issues that plague their relationship starting with communication. N.O.R.E. proudly declares that he is both the better talked and listener, while his wife Neri looks frustrated. Their fellow 'Love & Hip Hop' couple- Siir Brock and Amber Laura have issues coming to terms with Brock's sexuality after he came out as being bisexual. Monie Love and Tuff's relationship has hit a roadblock after Tuft cheated on her while she was pregnant. Finally, we have Mally Mall declaring that alcohol is the number one priority in his life while his wife Treasure isn't pleased with home disrespecting their relationship so casually.
