Just off the back of his new solo comeback album 'Lucky Man' and its whirlwind success, South Korean rapper Bobby is letting fans dive further into its content with a new promo film. Bobby, who is commonly known as a member of K-pop boy group iKon, dropped a new video on January 28, dubbed as a 'Jacket Making Film' in an announcement by his label YG Entertainment.

What is jacket-making?

For those who don't know what the title of the video means, here's a brief explanation. A jacket is all the artwork and imagery of an album that encases the CD. Therefore, "jacket-making" refers to the shooting process for the photos that are incorporated into said artwork, photobook or other content.

Announcement and video

"#BOBBY [LUCKY MAN] JACKET MAKING FILM," wrote YG Entertainment for the video's caption on Twitter, along with the hashtags, "#바비 #iKON #아이콘 #2ndFULLALBUM #LUCKYMAN #TITLE #야우냐 #U_MAD #JACKET_MakingFilm #YG." In the video, we see the rapper posing in several outfits and settings for photos to the sounds of his new single 'U Mad' from his second solo LP. The idol then describes some of the album's inspiration for viewers, in which he said he wanted to create variety. He explains that the album's songs all have different themes and likewise, he wanted to shoot many times to showcase their different atmospheres. He also noted that he experimented a lot more than with the shooting for his previous full-length album. Additionally, he said that most of the footage included silhouettes, which he expressed as being the most memorable part of the process.

At the tail end of the clip, Bobby then teased that he will meet with fans in some way soon.

'Lucky Man'

Bobby's new album dropped on January 25. The comeback project features a generous total of 17 tracks, including songs like 'U Mad', 'Rockstar', and 'Devil'. After its release, 'Lucky Man' is quickly garnering strong success and impacting charts. One of the impressive mentions is that Bobby has skyrocketed to the top of the iTunes charts in several regions. The album reached No. 1 in countries Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Ireland, India, Mexico, and Turkey. Additionally, the aforementioned 'U Mad' topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in five countries, according to hellokpop.
