Elton John is teaming up with fellow artists and musicians for a benefit concert to raise money for first responders and frontline workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

As the world remains under lockdown, iHeartMedia and Fox have put together 'Fox Presents the iHeart Living Room Concert for America' in the hope of bringing some entertainment to people who are isolated in their homes. The concert will also provide support to the Americans fighting the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to being a concert, the event is also a charity benefit with all proceeds being donated to 'Feeding America' and 'First Responders Children's Foundation' charities. The concert is meant to raise awareness around the tireless efforts of workers and medical professionals who are on the frontlines of relief efforts.

The 'iHeart Living Room Concert For America' will see a whole host of big names including Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey. The artists will all come together for a concert that will be broadcasted on Fox as well as on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and the iHeartRadio app.

Other artists confirmed for the show include Tim McGraw, Billie Joe Armstrong and the Backstreet Boys, while Elton John has been confirmed to host the event.

The concert will be filmed remotely by performers from the comfort of their own living rooms, as large gatherings are currently prohibited as part of the efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus. All the performers will use personal cell phones and audiovisual equipment to record their acts as part of the hour-long, commercial-free concert.

The nominees for this year's awards were announced on January 8. While listener voting has been left open till March 27, the date for the award ceremony has not been announced yet.
