2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards: Usher to host event that will see Halsey, Lizzo, Justin Bieber and more perform

This sounds like a match made in heaven. iHeartMedia and Fox Entertainment have announced that the Grammy award-winning artiste Usher, who has sold more than 65 million albums worldwide, will host the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Usher is also slated to perform some of his songs.

The event will also feature live performances from Halsey and Lizzo, as well as Justin Bieber — the latter's involvement had already been announced previously.

The seventh annual iHeartRadio Music Awards will air live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on March 29 (8 -10 pm ET live / PT delayed) on the Fox network.

The two-hour award show will also broadcast live on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and on iHeartRadio. "I'm so excited to host the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards and help celebrate the music that I and millions of other music lovers listened to this past year," said a pleased Usher. "It'll be like hanging out with old friends."

The nominees for this year's 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards were announced on January 8.

Artistes receiving multiple nominations include popular acts like Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Daddy Yankee, Dan + Shay, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Halsey, J Balvin, Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, Khalid, Kygo, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Post Malone, Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes, Summer Walker and Taylor Swift.

The 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards is all about getting the fans involved. To that end, iHeartRadio listeners are getting the chance to decide who the winners will be in several new and previously-established award categories.

This year, fan voting will determine the Best Fan Army, Best Lyrics, Best Cover Song, Best Music Video, Best Remix, Social Star Award, Favorite Tour Photographer and the first-ever Favorite Music Video Choreography Award.

Voting began on January 8 and will close on March 23 at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT for all the categories except for the Best Fan Army. Voting for that single category will remain open until March 27 at 9 am ET / 6 am PT. Fans can vote on Twitter by using the appropriate category and nominee hashtags, or by visiting the official site here.
