Just as things seem to be going well for the idol, Stray Kids' Hyunjin has a new battle to deal with. The boy group is currently on the last leg of completing their 'Maniac' tour and after member Han was injured at the airport a few weeks ago, Hyunjin is the newest member of the group to fall prey to an injury. On July 14, it was reported that rapper Hyunjin of the eight-member boy group Stray Kids had been injured ahead of their recent concert in Oakland.

The show was in the news for other reasons when fans reported that a troll account of the boy group was posting death threats against members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Felix which was extremely concerning for Stays (fans of Stray Kids). Since the death threats included mentions of gun violence on members, the Oakland Police Department was prompted about the attack. The OPD reassured fans and members that they had taken charge of the situation and added more security for the members. It was also stated that the FBI was involved which reassured fans that the members would be safe.

In their official announcement, JYP Entertainment, the label that manages the activities of the fourth-gen boy group, Stray Kids stated that Hyujin had injured his hand after he hit a door with his right hand before the boy group's Oakland show. The label added that after the minor accident, the idol suffered minor injuries which were taken care of after first aid from the medical staff at the concert hall. After the concert, Hyunjin underwent a thorough examination.

The label added that the medical staff advised that the rapper reduce excessive movements in the days to come even though his injury is minor. JYP Entertainment said, "According to the medical staff, Hyunjin should avoid excessive movements for the time being and recover his condition."
