The upcoming miniseries revolves around Thomas Randolph, a Nevada-based man who married six times. Dubbed a 'Black Widower' after four of his wives died, the series explores the intriguing details of his life.

The series will delve into whether Randolph was a calculated serial killer or simply, as he claimed, unlucky in love.

The official synopsis for 'The Black Widower' reads, "Six wives, four of whom are dead, have one thing in common — they all married Thomas Randolph."

After three years of marriage, Randolph's second wife, Becky Gault, was found dead at home with a bullet in her skull. According to The Sun, Randolph received a $500,000 payout from her life insurance policy.

His fourth wife, Francis Thomas, reportedly died from botched heart surgery in 2004. Allegations suggest that Randolph hired a hitman to murder his wife and wound himself to stage it as a robbery.

However, the man named Glen Morrison backed out, fearing that Randolph would eventually turn on him and kill him instead.

Randolph's fifth marriage was to Leona Stapleton. He informed friends and family that she died due to cancer.

In 2008, his sixth wife Sharon Causse was murdered in what appeared to be a home invasion. It was after this case that the cops suspected foul play and arrested him in 2009.

During the trial, it was alleged that Randolph hired Michael Miller to murder her. Soon after Miller killed Sharon Causse, Randolph killed Miller.

According to 8 News Now, authorities tracked Randolph down in Utah in 2009 and arrested him. He was charged with the murders of his wife, Sharon, and Michael Miller, the man he allegedly hired to kill her.

In his first trial, Randolph was sentenced to death. However, the Nevada Supreme Court overturned the verdict following an appeal from Randolph.

In April 2024, Randolph, now 69 years old, was sentenced to a minimum of 60 years in prison.
