GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA: Whitney Way Thore is still mourning her mother's death. Nonetheless, she has taken the time to wish a very important man a happy birthday. In fact, she describes him as the most wonderful man she has ever met. So, who is this unique individual?
Whitney, the star of 'My Big Fat Fabulous Life,' revealed in December that her mother, Barbara "Babs" Thore, had died. Whitney and her mother were extremely close, and their true relationship was evident throughout all of 'MBFFL's seasons. Babs was a reality television fan favorite, and viewers were shocked to learn of the family's tragic death. Whitney is now doing everything she can for the individual for whom losing Barbara was the worst shock of their lives.

Whitney's 'MBFFL' admirers have watched her experience with love and relationships throughout the years. But there is only one man who will ever have her heart. Glenn Thore, her father! This week marks the 77th birthday of the reality TV dad.

"My dad is the most incredible man I’ve ever known and has set an impossibly high bar for every man I’ve ever met. Growing up, he not only attended every single game, performance, recital, etc., but he coached my brother and me in soccer and was involved in every aspect of our lives," Whitney added. "In almost 40 years, he’s never let me down. The man is the living, breathing definition of integrity, reliability, and love. Watching him care for my mother always, but especially during the last year of her life is something I will never forget. I hope so hard that I will be loved, protected, and celebrated the way my dad did these things for my mother. To this day, my daddy is my coach, my teacher, my hero, and my friend. We are so unbelievably lucky to have you, Daddy! I love you!!!"
Whitney mentioned that this was her father's first birthday without Babs. The family matriarch died on December 7, 2022, as a result of complications from her stroke. Since then, the Thores have attempted to move on and recover as best they can. Even though they all mourn Babs, it appears that the family went out of their way to ensure Glenn had a happy birthday.

My favorite memory is while you all were vacationing & eating oysters he was cheering Babs on by saying suck it, suck it, suck it. Was hilarious."
