LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: If Lady Gaga takes home the Oscar for her song 'Hold My Hand' in 'Top Gun: Maverick' on Sunday, March 12, she'll have a bottle of Dom Pérignon waiting for her at home with a special note attached. She told Rolling Stone, "I actually used to always drink Dom with Tony Bennett." Gaga and Bennett have been longtime friends and collaborators.

"Whether it was in the middle of a show at the Grammys, or at the end of a long day, but it’s always for a special occasion… Everything with Tony means so much." She went on to explain, "I actually have this champagne in my house. It sounds silly but [it] has a post-it on it and it says ‘for my next win.’ So I’m not allowed to drink it unless we have won something. And it’s been there for a minute. It’s exciting."

Lady Gaga and Dom Pérignon's latest team up

Ahead of the Academy Awards, Lady Gaga and Dom Pérignon unveiled their latest collaboration, the release of the Dom Pérignon Vintage 2013 champagne. Gaga spoke to reporters about her love of champagne and how she saves special bottles for 'sentimental moments', such as winning an award or celebrating with close friends.

To create this new champagne, the 'Chromatica' singer teamed up with Dom Pérignon’s Chef de Cave Vincent Chaperon, focusing on the concept of 'elevation.' Gaga emphasized the importance of working authentically with others, stating, “It’s just the way that I am. I can’t do it any other way.”

This is not the first time Gaga has collaborated with Dom Pérignon. In 2021, the duo released a Vintage 2006 Rosé and Vintage 2010 that Gaga described as feeling "more like fantasy." The new release of the 2013 vintage showcases the continued collaboration between Gaga and Dom Pérignon.

Gaga eyes another best original song at Oscar

On Sunday, Lady Gaga will be vying for the 'Best Original Song' award at the Oscars with her song 'Hold My Hand' from 'Top Gun: Maverick'. This marks her fourth Academy Award nomination, with three of them in the 'Best Original Song' category. Her previous nominations were for co-writing 'Til It Happens to You' from 'The Hunting Ground' (2015) and 'Shallow' from 'A Star Is Born' (2018), the latter of which won the award. It’s worth noting that the 1986 'Best Original Song' award went to 'Take My Breath Away' from the original 'Top Gun' film.

Fans 'manifest' a win for the iconic artist

After news broke that Lady Gaga had a Dom Pérignon bottle at home labeled "for [her] next win", Twitter users reacted with a range of comments. Some expressed their support and hoped that Lady Gaga would have the opportunity to open the bottle soon. One user wrote, "Hope you get to open that bottle", while another said, "I hope you get to pop that bottle tonight sis, you deserve it."

However, not all comments were positive. Some users expressed their negative opinions towards Lady Gaga's potential future win, with one saying, "She's not winning," and another writing, "Funny. It's for the best non-woke movie of 2022!!!"

Despite the negativity, many fans showed their love and admiration for Lady Gaga as an artist, with one user calling her a "legend" and "real artist." Some suggested ways in which she could improve her chances of winning, with one fan suggesting she release an orchestral movie version.
