Looks like the hiatus of BTS was a hoax after all as the boy group continues to gather together time after time. First, it was six out of seven BTS members getting together for J-Hope's solo debut part for his debut album, 'Jack In The Box' which was skipped by Suga after he fell ill. Now, all seven members of BTS have come together again as they officially accept their roles as the Honorary Ambassadors of the 2030 World Expo.

With the last World Expo being held in Dubai in 2020, the 2025 World Expo is all set to be held in Osaka, Japan. Years ahead of the next World Expo after 2025, South Korea is already placing its bid for the 2030 event to be hosted in Busan and for that, the world-famous boy group BTS is ready to participate in the promotions of the event. Last month, it was announced that BTS members will be the Honorary PR Ambassadors for the Expo.

BTS selected as Honorary Ambassadors for the 2030 Busan Expo

On July 19, BTS members attended the appointment ceremony which was held in the HYBE Building in Seoul. The 2030 Busan World Expo Bidding Committee and Busan City hosted the ceremony where BTS were given plaques as they were officially appointed as the PR ambassadors for the upcoming event. As South Korea places its bid to be the next country to host the next World Expo, BTS members will take the renowned leaders of the World Expo committee on a tour around Busan later this year.

Not only that but it has been reported that BTS will be hosting a concert in Busan City for their fans in October. A lot of attention is being paid to the upcoming concert as fans wonder if the event will be held for fans with a free ticket and 550,000 (half a million) seats which they plan to attend in the months to come. It has been stated that BTS will contribute to the event by gaining support from the BIE member countries by participating in the General meeting competition, on-site inspection, and negotiation activities for BIE member countries, which will be held three times in the future.

While talking about BTS's contribution to the event, the Mayor of Busan, Park Hyung-joon said, "With the joining of BTS as ambassadors, we expect that interest and enthusiasm for the 2030 Busan World Expo will be greatly increased both at home and abroad."
