Did Rain and Kim Tae-hee inspire Honey Lee to marry? Actress drops hints in Netflix clip
After becoming Miss Korea in the year 2006 and representing South Korea at the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant in the year 2007, Lee Hanee (popularly known as Honey Lee) became a household name. Honey Lee is now in the news again and it is because wedding bells are ringing. On December 21, Honey Lee announced that she has married someone she loved dearly. Back in November, it was revealed that Honey Lee was dating a non-celeb but in a shocking turn of events, in less than three months since the announcement of the relationship, her agency Saram Entertainment had announced that Honey Lee has married her non-celeb boyfriend in a small ceremony in Seoul, South Korea.
Well, this good news was due anyway as recently, Honey Lee was heard talking about marriage and romantic relationships very dearly. Fans know that Honey Lee is close friends with actress Kim Tae-hee, who is married to South Korean sensation Jung Ji-hoon (Rain). Rain and Kim Tae-hee tied the knot in 2017 after dating since 2012 and are happily married with two children. Honey Lee recently revealed how fondly Kim Tae-hee talked about Rain and fans are led to believe that her decision to marry was greatly influenced by Kim Tae-hee’s successful married life.

On December 14, Netflix Korea uploaded a video on their YouTube which is a clip from the new Netflix Korea variety program ‘The Hungry and the Hairy’. In the short clip, Honey Lee is seen addressing how Kim Tae-hee had once told her how happy she was to have married singer Rain. Rain himself was part of the conversation while entertainer Ro Hong-chul was also sitting alongside the two.
The conversation went on about how Rain was always Kim Tae-hee’s ‘ideal type’ and the chemistry and bond between the two was what Kim Tae-hee considered to be the right choice. Honey Lee also revealed how Kim Tae-hee had told her that she had done the right thing marrying Rain and how it made Rain smile.

Honey Lee marries non-celeb boyfriend
After Saram Entertainment revealed that Honey Lee had married her non-celeb boyfriend, SPOT TV News revealed that the small ceremony was attended by the couple’s family members and close friends only. It has also been revealed that Honey Lee’s now-husband is a man older than the 38-year-old actress. It is reported that he is a Korean-American office worker who is on the wealthier side.
Honey Lee was captured at the airport going to and coming from America over the period of the last two months since her relationship with her now-husband was announced. Saram Entertainment’s statement mentions: “After meeting a precious partner, Honey Lee promised to become a lifelong companion of his based on their mutual trust and affection for each other. The couple got married in a Christian ceremony on December 21.” The label also urged fans to not make assumptions about Honey Lee’s partner: “We respectfully request that you refrain from making any excessive assumptions about Honey Lee's spouse and refrain from revealing his identity as he is a non-celebrity.”
