'Do something about it': Honey Boo Boo's body positivity post draws trolls, star called 'delusional' for wanting flat stomach
MCINTYRE, GEORGIA: It takes a lot of effort to show off your body publicly when you are burdened with self-image issues. Recently, Mama June's daughter Honey Boo Boo took off her insecurities and did a photoshoot with Kelly Leverett, promoting body empowerment. The main motive of the shoot was to show all kinds of body types, whether they be pear-shaped, triangles, fat, or thin.
Honey Boo Boo flaunted her curves in the shoot as she donned a black bra and boyshorts. She held a few posters in her hand that read, "I wish I had her butt" and "I wish my stomach was flat." As soon as the TikTok star posted the photos from the photoshoot on social media, fans took to the comment section of the post and slammed the reality star. They said that Honey Boo Boo should not wish for a healthy body but instead should work out to have one.

'If you want your stomach to be flat go do something about it'
Honey Boo Boo's followers understand that it's important to love one's body. But they also know that she can achieve a healthy lifestyle and body by altering her food habits. A fan wrote in the comments section, "If you want your stomach to be flat go do something about it." To this, another replied, "Get a gym membership." Moreover, a fan slammed the teenage star and said, "You can post as much s**t as you want about body empowerment but in reality, it doesn’t change the way you look at your self if you not happy with the way you look posting a picture saying you love your body the way it is doesn’t do s**t."
A fan called the 17-years-old's post "delusional" and wrote, "A lot of people don’t realize that obesity isn’t healthy. And anyone who says it is is delusional. I agree with you. If you have a problem with your body, do something about it. Posts about “body positivity” are just as harmful as those about being rail thin unnecessarily."
"Then instead of holding themselves accountable, they find every excuse in the book to continue living this facade of “look at how happy I am being big!” Not to mention, body positivity is about things you CANT CHANGE. You can easily change your weight. I have so many thoughts on this one," added the fan.
Another fan advised Honey Boo Boo about what kind of diet she should have and said, "Good for you! Eat clear soups w/some veg..rice or noodles. Eat balanced meals..& rarely eat cakes & sweets.Get sugar free ice cream &eat things like nuts & no sugar dried apricots..also popcorn u pop from kernals w/little popcorn seasoning."

The star further talked about her issues with body image in the post. "I was very nervous to do this shoot since I've always struggled with my self-image but honestly, I'm so glad I did I feel this shoot helped me love my body more!" she said.
She claimed to be heavy ever since her childhood. But this year, Honey Boo Boo is trying to lead a healthy life and the first step she has taken to do that is going to the gym. "I've always had weight on me but ever since the first of the year, I've been going to the gym 5 days a week and just by looking at these photos I can tell a big difference in me! Thank you kelly Leverett for this beautiful photo shoot with these beautiful ladies!" wrote the teenage TikTok star.
