Former playmate Holly Madison along with fellow ex-playmate Heather McDonald revealed their life in the Playboy Mansion and their intimate experiences with the Playboy founder in the first episode of their podcast, 'Girls Next Level', the episode titled “In The Bedroom…” aired on Monday, August 22. In the episode, Madison described her sex life with Hugh Hefner as “hell” and “traumatic.”

“He wouldn’t move. He would be like a bump on the log in the middle of the bed,” Madison, 42, said of her sexual experiences with Hefner. Because they weren't "into it," the women at the mansion "wanted to get [the sex] over with as quickly as possible," according to the reality TV star. “We thought of it as a chore that we had to do or else we’ll get kicked out of the house. Everybody just wanted to make it go by as quickly as possible,” she added.

According to Madison, group sex was not going to make things any better. McDonald and Madison both agreed that it was "embarrassing," and both noted that the women were tense. “I can’t explain to you guys how embarrassing that whole routine was, especially as we got later down the road when there would be a lot of conflict with the other girls,” Madison continued.

“You’re literally sitting there naked having sex in front of a group of people who hate you and talk s–t about you while you’re having sex — and you can hear it. It was just like hell", she added. “Imagine thinking you’re this big player and you’re bringing all these girls home, and your room looks like s–t,” Madison continued. “It’s like the weird eccentric millionaire version of the guy with the mattress on the floor and a ‘Pulp Fiction’ poster.”

Madison recalled an evening in August 2001, before she moved into the Playboy Mansion full-time, when she was invited on a night out by a "recruiter" and was provided with drinks. She also remembered Hefner proposing a quaalude to her. “I said, ‘No, I don’t really do drugs,'” she said, adding that Hefner referred to the drugs as “thigh openers.” Madison then goes on to recall how she was invited to another room with other women, “When we went back into the room, I have a hard time even remembering it because I was that wasted. I had been downing drinks all night.”

She explained how things progressed from there. “I go to the bed, the other new girl is already laying there, there are vibrators laid out for everybody. I’d never used a vibrator in my life,” Madison said. “I don’t even remember everybody else walking in, I just remember laying down and everybody else was there and the first thing that happens is the Recruiter says, ‘Daddy!’ — I’m gagging as I say this, but everybody used to call him ‘Daddy’ in the bedroom, which is so gross — so she was like, ‘Daddy, do you want to get the new girl? I s— you not, next thing I know, he’s on top of me.” “I just remember feeling so gross and so used. I felt like this girl was being so nice to me and so welcoming, but really I was just another piece of meat for her to throw under him so she looks better,” she said.

Madison then stated that she doesn't remember much of the rest of the night. “I’ve had people ask me before, ‘If you didn’t like the sex or it freaked you out, why didn’t you just leave?’ But you have to understand if I were to just leave, I’m going back to my problems of not having a place to live,” she said. She went on to say that after the first night she had sex with Hefner, she felt she had "no other option" but to move into the mansion and "be a girlfriend." “Plus, I just had sex with this guy, which to me is like a big deal. The only community I feel like I’m a part of in L.A, everyone will know I had sex with him randomly, I better move in and be a girlfriend," she added.

“I think that whole experience [of living in the mansion] was traumatic to me,” Madison concluded. She dated Hefner from 2001 to 2008 before marrying music festival promoter Pasquale Rotella in 2013. She has two children with him. The couple called it quits in 2018, and their divorce was finalized a year later.
