Acorn TV’s award-winning BBC One Wales psychological crime thriller 'Hidden' is returning for a second season with a brand new, spine-chilling murder investigation. When the body of a retired chemistry teacher, Geraint Ellis, is discovered following a brutal, gruesome attack in a small town in North Wales, it creates havoc. With the small community of the town now fearful, the police must soon find the killer.

Only, there might be more than one killer.

As a race against time ensues, the investigation brings to light the complex cultural and socio-economic setting of the small town, and how this affects the young and the impressionable the townhouses. Before the show premieres on Acorn TV on Monday, June 15, 2020, meet the cast.

Sian reprises her role as Detective Chief Inspector Cadi John from the previous season. Apart from having a gruesome murder investigation on her hand, Cadi also has some very tense relationships at home. Juggling these two seems almost impossible till Cadi does it.

This is not Sian's first collaboration with series creator Ed Talfan. In 2016, she starred in series 3 of the critically acclaimed Welsh crime drama 'Hinterland'/ 'Y Gwyll' in the role of Manon, DI Tom Matthias love interest. The Welsh actress and singer is best known for her performance of Genesis Walker in 'Emmerdale'. Her roles of Manon on 'Hinterland' and Trudy Franken on 'Requiem' are also well appreciated. In 2001, Sian received the BBC London Theatre Award for outstanding performance in a musical for her role in the National Youth Music Theatre's production of 'The Dreaming'.

Sion Alun Davies as DS Owen Vaughan

Siôn Alun Davies reprises his role as DS Owen Vaughan. The very stressful murder investigation of Geraint Ellis is not made any easier as Owen is struggling with looking after his infant daughter as well.

The actor is known for his roles of Halwyn on 'Britannia', Carl on 'The Left Behind' and Carys on 'Requiem'. Apart from working with Sian on 'Requiem', the two have worked on 'Hinterland' making this their second collaboration with creator Talfan. Sion also dabbles in theatre and is known for his work on 'My People', 'The Lady from the Sea', 'Velocity' and 'Outside the Street' among others.

The actress trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and after graduating worked in theatre. She is best known for her performance of Beth on BBC/ PBS production of 'Little Women', 'The Passing', 'King Arthur: Excalibur Rising' and 'Apostle'. Elwy is currently awaiting the release of her two upcoming movies 'The Toll' and 'Gwledd'.

Cennydd plays the role of Connor, who has recently moved to Blaenau from south Wales with his mum and brother and has immediately fallen in with the wrong crowd.

'Hidden' is by far, Cennydd's biggest project in terms of scale and ambition. Since graduating from Guildhall in 2017, he has been in a few films, a couple of TV series ('Last Summer', 'The Pembrokeshire Murders') and traveled the world taking three plays on tour with Shakespeare’s Globe.

Like Elwy, he too is currently awaiting the release of 'Gwledd', in which he plays Guto.
