'This is going nowhere': 'Heartless' Kristin Cavallari confesses that she breaks up with men via text messages
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Kristin Cavallari has opened up about her past dating mistakes on her podcast, 'Back to the Beach', which she co-hosts with her ex-boyfriend, Stephen Colletti. During the episode, the 36-year-old reality TV personality admitted to breaking up with men via text message. She acknowledged that this was not a good practice and said, "I know that's horrible." However, she went on to explain that she only used this tactic when she had been talking to someone for a short time and had only hung out with them a few times.
Cavallari said, "If I've only hung out with you a couple times and I'm like, 'This is going nowhere,' I actually just recently did that over a text. I know that's pretty f**ked up." Colletti asked how the guy reacted. Cavallari replied, "Not great. I got a voice note back. I was like, ‘S–t. I should probably send you a voice note, but I don’t even want to.’” Colletti, Cavallari's high school ex, concluded the conversation by teasing, "You can give him my number for advice. Just kidding, please don't."

She's attracted several men after divorce, but they're not the type she's looking for, as she revealed to Rachel Bilson on the 'Broad Ideas' podcast. "I need someone who’s established," she said. Cavallari admitted dumping a man over the phone recently but didn't reveal his name. She acknowledged, "And not to say that I'm not dating a little bit or talking to some people or whatever. But anything serious, I'm just not in a place for it right now, which is fine."
‘Laguna Beach’ Revelations
Cavallari and Colletti revisit old episodes of their show in the podcast, sharing behind-the-scene moments that were never aired. Colletti, who previously starred in 'Hit the Floor', revealed that his on-screen romance with Cavallari did not reflect their real-life relationship. Although they dated on and off during high school, their split was not solely due to his involvement with Conrad as the show suggested. Colletti expressed discomfort with the love triangle narrative portrayed in the series. Following their breakup in her junior year, Cavallari moved on with Talan Torriero, and their relationship never fully reignited. Despite this, the two have remained friends since the show's end.
