'He needs water to survive': Internet erupts as Jason Momoa's first look as VILLIAN in 'Fast X' comes out

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jason Momoa's first look in the tenth edition of the 'Fast and Furious' franchise comes out, and we are here to munch on some great reactions from the internet. 'Fast X', the tenth part of the global hit, 'Fast and Furious'. The production released its first teaser trailer on February 10, 2023, and even though the cast lacks many former actors, it sure has gotten many great talents on board, from Jason Momoa to Brie Larson and more. 

 The tenth edition is going to be released globally on May 19, 2023, and will be the second-last film in the series. While little-to-no information has been provided about the plot, several reports have stated that Jason Momoa will be playing the antagonist in the film. His first look drew some hilarious responses on Twitter, from references to 'Aquaman' to modifying Momoa with the previous villains of the franchise.

'I get to be the bad guy finally'

When talking about his new character as the bad guy, Momoa was thrilled to play the villain, talking to Variety, he said, "Time of my life. I get to be the bad guy finally. I’ve been the good guy for a while. He’s very sadistic and androgynous and he’s a bit of a peacock . . . He’s got a lot of issues, this guy. He’s definitely got some daddy issues." But the new bad guy character didn't faze many fans, some were just taking the information as is, while some thought gave references to his well-known character 'Aquaman'. 

'He looks cool as villain'

There have been many speculations about the plot of 'Fast X' and Jason Momoa's first look has especially caught netizens' eyes. While some really loved him as a villain and commented, "He looks actually cool as a villain," others weren't fazed by the fact that he is playing the villain, and wrote, "Didn't really see how he's going against expectations besides him playing a villain." 



 



 

Some users were adamant that Momoa is only supposed to survive in water, having first appeared as the Atlantean hero in a cameo for 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'. "He really needs water to survive," added a viewer. "It looks like Aquaman is on drugs in the top right pic," said a user. "Poseidon is that you?" said a viewer comparing Momoa to one of the Twelve Olympians in ancient Greek religion and mythology, presiding over the sea, storms, earthquakes, and horses.



 



 



 

Jason Momoa will be playing 'Dante' in the next installment of 'Fast X' and will see Dante coming back to take revenge on Dom after he witnessed his crew, or family taking down the Brazilian drug kingpin, Hernan Reyes, destroying his empire on the bridge in Rio de Janeiro. 'Fast X' races into theaters on May 19.
