LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: HBO Max, after its massive success with its original releases like 'Hacks' and 'The Flight Attendant', comes up with an original limited series, titled 'Love & Death'. Based on the true story of Candy Montgomery, a Texas housewife, who was accused of murdering her friend with an axe 41 times, in 1980. The HBO Max adaptation is directed by Lesli Linka Glatter. The series will see Elizabeth Olson as the lead, playing the role of Candy Montgomery. Fans are extremely excited to see Olson back on the screen after her hauntingly amazing performance in 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'.

HBO Max just dropped the official trailer for 'Love & Death,' teasing what promises to be a gripping series with a baleful tone. The trailer shows Elizabeth Olson stealing the show with her screen presence. The trailer begins with Olson's Candy voiceover saying' "Something's been bothering me a little" and further adds, "I have done all the things a wife is supposed to do. The house, the meals. The trailer further shows the montage of Candy doing her mundane activities, and spending time with her family, but unhappily. Then outside the church, in a car, Candy directly admits her interest in Allen and asks him if he would be interested in having an affair. Then we see Candy dressing up for Allen and making out with Allen. They share a knowning look later in the church which raises suspicion from Betty Gore. Betty confronts them about having a secret by asking, "You two just looked at each other like you got a secret" which gets an alarming reaction from Candy. We then see some shots of Candy and Allen, spending time together at what seems to be a fair and enjoying a roller coaster ride. Then we see Candy giving a teary look and a hurtful sigh at the sight of both her family and Allen enjoying themselves together.

The gruesome murder

The later part of the trailer shows three men with torchlight at night searching a house, along with several serious shots of the major characters. We see Candy shredding meat, dancing at a club, her husband's shocked face, Allen collapsing in a chair, police arriving at the crime scene and a blood-dripping Candy coming out of the crime scene. There is also a shot of the press and the public following Candy. And the trailer ends with a haunting line from Candy as she says to Allen, "I just don't want anybody to get hurt".
