Two years ago, HBO Max stunned everyone by releasing one of the most delightful thriller series in the form of ‘The Flight Attendant’. The series, starring Kaley Cuoco in the lead role, turned out to be a massive hit and got nominated for numerous awards, including Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series. The first edition saw Cassie Bowden (Cuoco), a free-spirited, alcoholic flight attendant entagled in a murder investigation when her one-night stand gets murdered. In order to clear her name, Cassie embarks on a journey that’s filled with a lot of twists and turn, and a lot of dark humor. Cuoco and the entire cast took us on a journey which was really thrilling and had a lot to cherish about.

In today’s generation, every successful TV series or movie tries to expand its universe even if everyone feels that it’s not necessary. So, ‘The Flight Attendant’ is back with Season 2 and Cassie is back in town to unravel another mystery. But is it any good? The answer to that is question is YES!

Although Season 2 is not as intriguing as its predecessor, the series has a good amount of thrilling stuff that puts Cassie’s life into more chaos.

So, the series starts with a revelation that Cassie has now shifted to Los Angeles and is enjoying her sobriety. It’s been a year and she hasn’t drank despite being really tempted to have just one glass. She has a new boyfriend named Marco (Santiago Cabrera) and is now working with the CIA. Everything was normal until she decided to do more than she was told to. She was asked to observe a German courier, but she decides to follow him all over Berlin. Cassie catches him doing all sorts of things, but things get crazy when she sees a woman with him who has a same back tattoo as her.

One of the most striking things in Season 2 is that the thing that worked in Season 1 doesn’t seem to work in the same way this time around. Yes, the mystery element is still there and there are some really good humorous moments as well, but the storyline is not as charming as it was previously.

The show excels when it slows down its pace and we get to know how Cassie is dealing with her own feelings. Cuoco has done a phenomenal job as Cassie once again and she is turning out to be one of the most bankable actresses in the TV industry. You can give her any role and she will bring something special and unique every time she comes on the screen.

Shohreh Aghdashloo as Brenda in 'The Flight Attendant' Season 2 (HBO Max)

Meanwhile, Shoreh Aghdashloo as Brenda is undoubtedly one of the best parts of the series. It is a travesty that the makers don’t use her enough, but whenever she arrives, she brings a different charm to the series. Zosia Mamet and Denis Akdeniz have once again shown why they are so important to this series. They are splendid.

Despite an above-average plot, ‘The Flight Attendant’ Season 2 does an incredible job in exploring the characters and their emotional sides. Cuoco's performance will keep viewers intrigued and glued to their screens. Meanwhile, the amazing chemistry between Mamet and Akdeniz will make you go “awww”.

Season 2 has enough juice to make a successful comeback, but it isn’t as smooth as its predecessor.
