LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Emilia Clarke should be feeling proud of her loyal fans who came to her aid after she was abused by vile trolls over a fresh-faced Insta snap. The 36-year-old 'Game of Thrones' alum shared the image of her new mug sent by her mother with the bold slogan, "You're doing f*****g great."

In the Instagram post, she captioned, "Mum got me a mug. I felt it was important to share this newfound wisdom. Use it and reap the rewards ❤️ #itstimetostartbackingyoselfpeople #mumsreallydoknowbest #mycoldjustgotitsmedicine."

Emilia Clarke was brutally trolled by haters

The odd angle of the picture however distorted Emila's face and, unfortunately, triggered a flurry of negative comments from trolls about her appearance. But soon they were outnumbered by her fans who rushed to her defense. "Mother of dragons what happened to you", one user commented while another wrote, "What's happening with those hairs, they're worse than mine right now." Another asked rudely, "Are you going bald?" Pulling no punches, another troll wrote, "Damn someone hit the wall and didn’t age well."

Clarke's fans then rushed to her defense, with one user commenting, "This is by far the most beautiful woman in Hollywood," while a second added, "You always put the biggest smile on my face!" A third fan added, "Thank you for laughing so much Emilia, you make the world brighter." "Beautiful - actual smile lines in an IG pic," a fourth user added.

Emilia Clarke has spoken about ageing gracefully

Emilia has previously expressed her opinions on ageing during an interview with ELLE in 2021. She acknowledged she was told by a facialist she needed to have fillers when she was just 28. "You've got this idea of ageing, and then you've got the idea of what aging makes you look like" she said. "At 34, I am wiser, more intelligent, I've had more experiences, I've done all this stuff, and I'm proud of that. You can only do that because you are the age you are. Time is the only thing allows you to do those things. So, if my face is gonna reflect the time that I've spent on this earth, I'm down for that."

Emilia cried before shooting intimate scenes with Jason Momoa

Emilia who was just 23, when she starred in the popular HBO series, revealed that she cry before the sex scenes with Jason Momoa on 'Game of Thrones' as she was not aware of the amount of nudity expected from her ahead of accepting the role. The star portrayed Daenerys Targaryen and admitted she was "terrified" of the sex scenes because she "didn't know what to do".

"I took the job and then they sent me the scripts and I was reading them, and I was like, 'Oh, there's the catch!'" Emilia said on the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast in 2019. "But I'd come fresh from drama school and I approached it as a job: if it's in the script then it's clearly needed. I've never been on a film set like this before and I'm now on a film set completely naked with all of these people, and I don't know what I'm meant to do, and I don't know what's expected of me, and I don't know what you want, and I don't know what I want. Regardless of there being nudity or not, I would have spent that first season thinking I'm not worthy of requiring anything. I'm not worthy of needing anything at all." However, she did credit Jason Momoa for making filming as easy as possible as she felt "imposter syndrome".
