Matthew Hutchins spotted kissing girlfriend Katie Flynn 18 months after wife Halyna was shot dead on 'Rust' set
BONANZA CITY, NEW MEXICO: According to recent reports, Matthew Hutchins, the widower of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was shot dead on the set of Alec Baldwin's film 'Rust' was seen cozying up with another woman named Katie Flynn, 18 months after the fatal tragedy. The smitten pair were reportedly spotted hiking near the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles on Monday, April 24. The pair held hands and stopped for kisses as they strolled the trails, while Matthew was still wearing his wedding ring, as per Daily Mail.
Matthew Hutchins, 38, a lawyer and film producer, is currently working as an executive producer on the set of 'Rust'. This arrangement was made as part of the settlement agreement that was reached with Baldwin, 65, in October 2022.

Who is Katie Flynn?
Flynn is employed by the Griffith Observatory as a video production coordinator. She reportedly started working at the Griffith Observatory in 2019, after graduating from Central Michigan University with a degree in meteorology. Although, it is not clear how long Hutchins and Flynn have been romantically involved. However, reports suggest that the pair were previously spotted together in August 2022, as per Daily Mail. Hutchins and his nine-year-old son, Andros, filed a wrongful death settlement against Baldwin in February 2022.
"Defendant Baldwin, the Producers, and the Rust Production Companies were aware of firearms safety issues that had occurred on the set of Rust and did not take action to correct the situation and ensure that basic gun safety rules were followed on October 21, 2021," they said in their lawsuit. "Had Defendant Baldwin, the Producers, and the Rust Production Companies taken adequate precautions to ensure firearm safety on the set of Rust or if basic firearm safety rules had been followed on the set of Rust on October 21, 2021, Halyna Hutchins would be alive and well, hugging her husband and nine-year-old son," reported Daily Mail.
'Live ammunition is and always was prohibited on set!'
Baldwin is among the four people who were facing criminal charges for the death of the cinematographer until last week the two charges against the 65-year-old actor were dropped. The father of seven kids has always maintained his innocence alleging he was not responsible for her death because he did not pull the trigger, stating the gun fired by itself. After the charges were dropped, Baldwin expressed his gratitude to his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, on Instagram for supporting him during the difficult time following the incident. In addition, Hilaria also posted a picture appearing to be curled up on his knees.
The shooting of the film 'Rust' has resumed after a hiatus of several months. However, instead of New Mexico, the production has shifted to Montana, at the Yellowstone Film Ranch, where the shooting has commenced with two additional safety officers on set. Melina Spadone, attorney for the film said it is expected to be completed by May. "The production will continue to utilize union crew members and will bar any use of working weapons and any form of ammunition," she said. "Live ammunition is — and always was — prohibited on set. Each and every one of us is wholeheartedly dedicated to realizing Halyna's vision and paying tribute to her artistry." Cinematographer Bianca Cline has taken over as the new director of photography for the film. In honor of Halyna Hutchins, she has pledged to donate her salary to charity.
