Halsey stops pre-Super Bowl performance to slam heckler yelling ex G-Eazy's name, calls it 'disrespectful'
Halsey is not here for your hate.
The singer's recent story on Instagram reads "Don't ever let someone make you feel crazy or unhinged cause us a woman standing up for urself. don't tolerate disrespect in the name of being "nice". Love u"
Halsey was on stage in Miami on Saturday, February 1, to perform at a pre-Super Bowl show but her performance was interrupted by a heckler who repeatedly yelled out her ex G-Eazy's name. The singer shut the heckler down though - she stopped the show to call the person out, screaming "If you say G-Eazy one more f***ing time, I will kick you out this building...I will kick your f***ing a**, test me. I will kick your a** out the f***ing club. You’re not going to disrespect me like that at my own show."
Her fans had her back too, joining her by chanting "F*** that guy!"
The incident was caught on video by people in the audience and posted online and fans all over the world have been tweeting in support of the singer. One user said, "Halsey went off and didn’t give a f***" while another highlighted exactly why yelling out G-Eazy's name was disrespectful, "You don’t scream out the name of the man who was trash and cheated on halsey at her own concert. that was disrespected and she handled that like a queen."
After a rocky relationship that was on and then off again, Halsey and G-Eazy called it quits in 2018. The two were a beloved couple as they were often seen showing a lot of love for one another and were 'relationship goals' for many, and fans were crushed when the two decided to end their relationship for good. Many accused G-Eazy of causing the split by cheating on Halsey, but this was never confirmed. The exes have even been spotted hanging out as friends, so it seems like it ended quite amicably.
Then again, she dropped 'You Should Be Sad', a song about her drug-addict ex who she tried to help but no longer could, so who knows really?
Halsey is currently seeing actor Evan Peters, known for his roles in 'American Horror Story' as well as Quicksilver in the recent 'X-Men' trilogy.
