After collaborating with pop band Haim on the track ‘No body, no crime’ on her album ‘Evermore’, it looks like Tayor Swift bonded really well with the trio as the global singer has now jumped on the remix of their popular track called ‘Gasoline’. Haim is an all-female pop-rock band from Los Angeles consisting of three sisters, namely Este Haim (bass guitar and vocals), Danielle Haim (lead vocals, guitar and drums), and Alana Haim (guitars, keyboards and vocals).

The trio shared the big news on their official Instagram and Twitter accounts with a lengthy post. They spoke about how it was working with Taylor while explaining the process behind the remix. Taylor also re-tweeted their post with the caption, “Cancel the DNA test I’m the 4th Haim sister and this song is the only proof I need #GasolineRemix”. Haim also dropped the track ‘3am’ featuring ‘Thundercat'.

Shedding light on their new collaboration, the official Instagram account of Haim posted, “Since we released wimpiii in june, taylor had always told us that gasoline was her favorite. so when we were thinking about ways to reimagine some of the tracks from the record, we immediately thought of her. she brought such amazing ideas and new imagery to the song and truly gave it a new life. thank you @taylorswift for adding your incredible voice and spirit to a track that means so much to us.”

Talking about their song ‘3am’ with ‘Thundercat’ in the same post they said, “We’ve known thundercat since 2013, and since then we’ve always talked about collaborating on something. so this past december, we were in the studio working on a cover and at the end of the session este mentioned that we’d always imagined 3 am as a duet. minutes later thundercat hopped on the song and put his magical twist on it. thank you @thundercatmusic for always keeping us laughing and sending us the best memes. we are ready for dragonball durag pt. 2. and a special thanks to @matsor and @arielrechtshaid for putting their heart and soul into wimpiii.”

Lyrics

In the ‘Gasoline’ Remix, Haim kicks-off with, “You took me back, But you shouldn't have/ Now it's your fault if I mess around, I took a drag/ But I shouldn't have, Now I'm coughing up like I/ Never smoked a pack.” Taylort takes over the second verse and croons, “I get sad, you know I get sad/ And I can't look past what I'm sad about, You did me bad (Did me bad, did me bad)/ And I did it back (Did it back, did it back)/ You needed ass, well, what's/ Wrong with that?”

‘Her voice is so gorgeous and different’

The moment Taylor re-tweeted Haim’s post about their brand new collaboration, Swifties stormed Twitter to speak about the same. One user posted, “I don’t know but gasoline isn’t what I expected.” Another user shared, “It's like a waterfall of Taylor Swift these days. I LOVE WATERFALLS. This Gasoline song is grand and great and good." One said, “I almost didn't recognize for a second there that it was Taylor singing in the 2nd verse on Gasoline.... Her voice is so gorgeous and different on this track. Their voices mix so good together, no doubt that Taylor is their 4th sister @HAIMtheband @taylorswift13.” One concluded, “Not a massive fan of Taylor Swift but tbh she makes Gasoline a lot better and I really like the original.”
