Is Wu-Tang Clan's GZA a flat-Earther and anti-vaxxer? Fans question rapper after disturbing social media posts
The year 2020 just keeps on dishing out more and more bizarre activity. Considering the fact that Wu-Tang Clan's GZA has brought on the ire of Twitter users after his recent posts, hip-hop listeners may need to scratch another tick on the year's apocalypse bingo. GZA has followed up his previous anti-vax post with another questionable tweet. On Friday, August 7, the renowned Wu-Tang Clan rapper posted a clip showing an undisclosed oceanside view and wrote, “Round or flat?” in the caption with a thinking emoji.
Fans were quick to respond with their comments such as "Round, man. Look at the curve of those waves," and "C’mon genius" and "Dude, we already know it's round. C'mon."
More upset fans wrote comments like, "You were doing good earlier .. don’t go down this route my man," and "Please don't be about what I think this is about.

GZA's question on flat-Earth beliefs came after he questioned the validity of the flu vaccine by sharing a meme that shows an old black-and-white photo of a crying child receiving a vaccine with the caption, "We've had a flu vaccine for 78 years. We still have the flu."
Anyone who has ever known the iconic group Wu-Tang Clan could also attest to the fact that GZA has been a legend himself. Hence, a revered MC with an alternative stage alias The Genius (as fans pointed out above) coming out as a flat-earther and believer in anti-vaccine theories is a shock to his massive fanbase.
Both lyrically and musically, GZA has produced a multitude of songs that fans have loved for their intellect and creative direction. His verses on both Wu-Tang Clan and solo releases certainly attest to his brilliance as a lyricist. Numerous notable songs stem from the 1995 masterpiece album 'Liquid Swords'. In the song, 'Swordsman' for instance, GZA raps, "Light I shine, because my powers is refined. Through the truth, which manifest through eternal minds. Purified gases and masses the same elements. That helped spark civilization classes." The song is about educating yourself and not believing everything you’re told.
Another memorable track from 'Liquid Swords' is 'Living in the World Today', where his tricky rhythmic technique is showcased: "And from that point, the God made a statement. Draftin’ tracements, replacements in basements. Materials in sheet-rock, to soundproof the beat box. And microscopic optics received through the boxes."
