'Grey's Anatomy' fans remember how Miranda Bailey committed insurance fraud on the show and Ellen Pompeo is impressed

Presently in season 16, 'Grey's Anatomy' is TV's longest-running medical drama but fans seem to be in no mood to give up on it. In fact, eagle-eyed viewers notice every detail and remember plotlines that even the series creators and actors might have lost track of.  

One such incident occurred when a fan pointed out Miranda Bailey's (Chandra Wilson) hypocrisy on the show. "Wait a damn minute. Didn’t Bailey commit insurance fraud back in the day when she got Karev to change the time on the clock?!"

"@shondarhimes I’ve got questions!!! @EllenPompeo girl Grey better go get her job back!" the tweet read. Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey, was quick to retweet it and say, "I love when the fans remember stuff I don’t!!!"

No sooner did she post it, a barrage of tweets followed. One shared, "Also she gave medication to a patient when the parents didn't want it and Stephanie took the fall or Bailey would have been arrested and lost her medical license but that's none of my business."

Another one posted, "ALSO Bailey gave a patient inactivated HIV without the parents consent to save the child. Bailey was always the 'doing the right thing despite the consequences' type of person because she knew the system was broken. So what changed?"

"Oh yes she did! And, didn't Bailey cover for Dr. Weber when he was drinking on the job, yet she was absolutely unforgiving to Meredith when she helped Adele get into the Alzheimer’s clinical trial!" one tweet read

Another shared, "In the episode with the 6 kidneys transplant.. Didn't Bailey talk to the woman who was been cheated on even though she wasn't supposed to get involved?? @shondarhimes I've got questions. Why does she treat Meredith like crap?? Is it jealousy?? WTH??"

Fans are clearly irked at how Meredith has been ousted from the hospital and want the makers to change the plotline. One viewer wrote, "Doesn't hurt for Grey to go & join Karev in Pac North and build the next top hospital though! Would be fun to watch the competition with Bailey!"

Another fan posted, "I’m still trying to figure out how bailey can fire grey when grey owns a large portion of the hospital?" 

The fourth episode titled 'It's Rainin' Men' airs on Thursday, October 17, on ABC and the summary reads, "After Meredith inadvertently stirs up negative press for Grey Sloan, she tries to make things right with her former colleagues, jeopardizing her community service hours."

Clearly, more trouble seems to be brewing for the two on the show.
