The original version considered "Spain’s answer to Downton Abbey," looks like a modern twisted thriller as a young man enters rich, luxurious territory to find about his missing sister.

Plot:
Adapted from Spanish series 'Gran Hotel,' the show follows charismatic Santiago Mendoza, who owns a luxury 5-star hotel, while his glamorous second wife, Gigi, and their adult children enjoy the spoils of success. The hotel's loyal staff round out a contemporary, fresh take on an upstairs/downstairs story. Wealthy and beautiful guests bask in luxury, but scandals, escalating debt and explosive secrets hide beneath the picture-perfect exterior.
Cast:
Mexican-American actor Demián Bichir stars as Santiago Mendoza. Coming from the Bichir family, the 55-year-old actor was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in 'A Better Life.' He also played Fidel Castro in 'Che' and starred in the FX series 'The Bridge.' Bichir starred in the prequel films, 'Alien: Covenant' and 'The Nun.'
Puerto Rican singer and actress Roselyn Sanchez plays Gigi Mendoza. She is best known for her roles as Elena Delgado on the CBS police procedural 'Without a Trace' and as Carmen Luna on the Lifetime comedy-drama 'Devious Maids.' The 46-year-old's film credits include 'Rush Hour 2', 'Boat Trip', 'The Game Plan' and 'Act of Valor.'
'General Hospital,' star Bryan Craig, plays Javi. The 27-year-old actor earned two Daytime Emmy Awards from four consecutive nominations for his role as Morgan Corinthos in the famous soap opera.

Multiple award-winning actress Eva Longoria serves as the executive producer of the show. Named one of Hollywood's most beautiful women by several publications, including People magazines, Longoria has a plethora of other ventures including restaurants and a clothing line. Besides Longoria, Brian Tanens serves as the writer and executive producer of 'Grand Hotel.' Ben Spector is the executive producer, in addition to Bob Daily. Bill D'Elia is a director and an executive producer.

The promo trailer released features luxury, sex, scandal, and violence. The show seems to have a soapy-sexy vibe and is in stark contrast to the original Spanish version which ran for three seasons in 2011. The Miami landscape adds a modern twist to the thriller drama otherwise known as Spain's 'Downtown Abbey.'
The trailer explores how a young man investigates the mysterious disappearance of his sister, who worked as a chambermaid for this luxurious hotel.
