Golden Globes 2021: 'Io Si' wins Best Original Song for 'The Life Ahead', Internet says 'go get that Oscar'

It's not the first time 'Io Sì (Seen)' by Diane Warren, Laura Pausini and Niccolò Agliardi have taken home the prize

The historical Golden Globes 2021, with its first-ever unique bi-coastal ceremony, is taking place on Sunday, February 28, and the excitement is at an all-time high for the 78th edition of the coveted award show.

This year, the nominations for Best Original Song —Motion Picture recognized some of the most talked-about songs of the year and the nomination included ‘Fight for You’ of ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ by H.E.R., Dernst Emile II, Tiara Thomas, 'Hear My Voice’ of 'The Trial of the Chicago 7' by Daniel Pemberton, Celeste Waite, 'Io Sì (Seen)’ of ‘The Life Ahead’ by Diane Warren, Laura Pausini, Niccolò Agliardi, ‘Speak Now’ of  'One Night in Miami...' by Leslie Odom, Jr., Sam Ashworth and 'Tigress & Tweed’  of 'The United States Vs. Billie Holiday' by Raphael Saadiq and Andra Day.

'Io Sì (Seen)' by Diane Warren, Laura Pausini and Niccolò Agliardi, produced by Greg Wells for the 2020 film 'The Life Ahead', won the Best Original Song Award. Earlier, the track has also snagged the Song of the Year award at the Capri Hollywood International Film Festival, Best International Song at the CinEuphoria Awards, Outstanding Song — Feature Film at the 11th Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and Best Original Song at the 25th Satellite Awards.

Originally written by Diane Warren, the power ballad was written almost instinctively shared by the creators. The song represents the powerful message of diversity and inclusion against prejudice and racism. The win is much deserved, say fans. A user wrote, "Yes!!!!! So freaking happy for the amazing @Diane_Warren" and Latin Grammy-winning singer Joy of Jesse and Joy wrote, "So happy for you @LauraPausini. Now go get that #Oscar2021 !!! " Another fan said, "proud and happy! .. great all .. great Laura !!!! " 



 



 



 

The official 2021 Golden Globe Awards was telecasted on February 28 at 8 pm ET and the pre-show was streamed live from the official @GoldenGlobes Twitter account and on the website goldenglobes.com at 6.30 pm ET.
