The 77th Golden Globe Awards nominations have sent some fans into a celebratory mood while others are busy decrying the awards, the industry, and everyone associated with it. This, thankfully, is one of the former cases.

After being infamously snubbed at the Emmy Awards for his performance as The Hot Priest in Amazon Prime Video's 'Fleabag', Andrew Scott has finally been vindicated with a Golden Globe nomination. Scott has been nominated for the 'Best Performance By An Actor In A Supporting Role In A Series, Limited Series Or Motion Picture Made For Television' award.

The Hot Priest is only the latest in a line of beloved characters Scott has portrayed. His performance as the man of (troubled) faith won him a lot of hearts but unfortunately not an Emmy Award nomination, to the anger of many.

Either way, Scott's fans are ecstatic and many have taken to social media to gush about his nomination. You can check them out here:

"About time because he got robbed out of an Emmy nomination. He will get that award," gushed @lucysharvet

"Oh my god brilliant. He really deserves it. I hope he wins," tweeted @Laurahallissey

"I'm not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best casting decisions in the history of TV," said one with the handle @LondonElla01

The show's Twitter page also congratulated Scott on his nomination with a tweet that read, "Just when you thought hot priest couldn't get any hotter, he gets a #GoldenGlobes nomination. Help us congratulate our favorite man of the cloth, Andrew Scott!"

Besides Scott, the show's lead actor Phoebe Waller-Bridge received a Golden Globe nomination for 'Best Actress - TV Series, Musical or Comedy'. The series has also received a nomination for 'Best TV Series - Musical or Comedy'.

Within his own category, Scott will be facing off against some of the brightest stars in the industry including Alan Arkin for 'The Kominsky Method' and Kieran Culkin for 'Succession'. Scott's fans will be hopeful that the actor holds on to his luck, avoids contact with foxes, and bags the big win.

The 77th Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast live on NBC on January 5.
