The popular Australian sci-fi horror created by Tony Ayres and Louise Fox, 'Glitch' is getting renewed for its final chapter in season three. The first series was awarded Best Television Drama Series at the 2016 AACTA Awards. The series also won Most Outstanding Drama Series at the 2016 Logie Awards. 

Set in the fictional country town of Yoorana, Victoria, the series follows seven people who return from the dead in perfect health. No one in the town knows why. The new season is set to roll out new characters, shocking twists, and unexpected turns across six compelling episodes.

Release date

Season three of 'Glitch' airs on ABC TV starting from Sunday, August 25, at 9.30 pm with all episodes available to watch on iview. 

Plot

In the final chapter of 'Glitch', follow the Risen as they move beyond Yoorana and into the wider world. With the invisible boundary shattered, all the rules have now changed. They cannot escape their past or anticipate who is now pursuing them. With an unpredictable threat looming, each will be confronted with a critical choice and a moment of truth.

Patrick Brammall

Patrick Brammall plays the role of Sgt. James Hayes in the series. The actor is known for his roles as Sean Moody in the ABC comedy 'A Moody Christmas' and as Leo Taylor in the fifth season of Channel Ten's 'Offspring'.

Emma Booth

Emma Booth stars in the show as Kate Willis. The actress played a key role in the 2007 film 'Introducing the Dwights', opposite Brenda Blethyn and is known for her stint in movies like 'Blood Creek', 'Underbelly: The Golden Mile', 'Hounds of Love' and 'Parker'. 

The other actors in the cast include Rodger Corser, Sean Keenan, Hannah Monson, John Leary, Aaron McGrath, Rob Collins, Luke Arnold and Swedish legend Pernilla August. This season, new actors including Jessica Faulkner, Harry Tseng, Jackson Gallagher, Dustin Clare, Susan Prior and Anna McGahn are set to join the cast.

Director/Writer

The series has been created by Tony Ayres and Louise Fox. Emma Freeman and Tony Krawitz are the directors on the show. 

Produced by Matchbox Pictures, it has a line of producers on its list, including, Ewan Burnett, Louise Fox, Julie Eckersley and Emma Freeman.
