NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA: In the upcoming episode 'Taking Their Shot' in Season 11 of 'The Curse of Oak Island,' the team intensified their search for the elusive secret tunnel leading to the intriguing "Baby Blob."

Meanwhile, Gary Drayton and Rick Lagina stumble upon a peculiar item stamped with Roman numerals, mirroring those discovered on the U-shaped structure at Smith's Cove in Lot 5.

As per information on Rick and Marty Lagina's Oak Island Tours website, the entirety of the Nova Scotia island is privately owned. The Michigan Group, spearheaded by the Lagina brothers, holds the majority ownership of the island.

Oak Island, as detailed by Oak Island Treasure, is divided into 32 lots. The Michigan Group, featured prominently on the show, holds ownership of nearly all lots, leaving only six unclaimed.

One lot belongs to the show's producer, Allan Kostrzewa, and three are under the ownership of Tom Nolan, son of the late Fred Nolan.

The Laginas have received permission from the Nolans to excavate on their property, though a Reddit user speculated that the Oak Island team may have accidentally damaged the Nolans' backhoe during operations.

Apart from these lots, Robert Young owns Lot 5, and JD Johnson owns Lot 13, as per information from the Oak Island Treasure Forum.

Notably, these are the only two lots out of the 32 that 'The Curse of Oak Island' has yet to investigate. The remaining portions of the land are open for the Laginas and their intrepid crew's ongoing exploration.

Who is the owner of Lot 5 on Oak Island Robert S Young?

Robert, the son of Bill and Betty, wore many hats – he was Susan's brother, a nephew, a cousin, and a dear friend to many.

His pursuits were as diverse as they were impressive: a treasure hunter, a baseball player, a wordsmith acknowledged for his adept use of descriptive language, a skateboarder, a custom builder, a furniture designer, and the proud owner of Lot 5 on Oak Island, NS.

He was credited with safeguarding and meticulously documenting the island's natural state.

Robert's interests include boating, aerial photography, survival courses, classic rock music, photography, collecting and restoring classic cars and motorcycles, art collecting and sales, skilled motorcycling, archaeology, archiving, innovation, love, drumming, dog whispering, and being a devoted friend to Dakota, Excel, and Skye for a lifetime.

He was well-known for being an all-around explorer, a patient (attentive) listener, a smart counselor, a sophisticated communicator and debater, and a gardener.

Lot Five is an island that Robert of Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia, bought from Fred Nolan in June 1996 for 4 acres (1.6 hectares).

The last remaining undeveloped acreage on Oak Island is this property. Following his death on October 28, 2020, Robert's estate received the land.

Who is Gary Drayton from 'The Curse of Oak Island'?

Gary, who was born and raised in Grimsby, worked for many years as a bottle digger in the UK, excavating abandoned Victorian waste dumps and "mud hopping" along riverbanks to find marbles, clay pipes, doll heads, and antique bottles.

He discovered clay pipes from the 1500s and bottles from as early as the 1600s.

The oldest bottle Gary ever discovered dates back to the time of Roman occupation – a Roman perfume bottle.

Gary's fascination with metal detecting ignited when he began finding an escalating number of coins during his searches for bottles.

Later, Gary moved to South Florida, expanding his metal-detecting pursuits across the pond. During his first beach visit, he struck gold, uncovering a Spanish Silver Piece of Eight.

A few months down the line, he unearthed a remarkable 1715 Spanish Fleet Ring adorned with emerald and gold.

With his "outside the box" approach to metal detecting, Gary has been able to investigate a variety of search methods and locations, always using his sight-reading and metal-detecting skills to uncover hidden riches.

Since then, hundreds of gold rings, other pieces of jewelry, coins, silver, Rolex watches, bronze ship spikes, artifacts from the war, and Spanish treasures have been discovered!

Gary is privileged to be able to support himself by publishing books about beach and sea hunting and providing individualized treasure-seeking instruction.

His treasure discoveries in Spain attracted the attention of Hollywood producers, resulting in many TV show appearances, until he was eventually selected as the resident metal detector on the highly acclaimed US treasure hunting program, 'The Curse of Oak Island'.

Gary uses many different Minelab detectors. He still uses the Excalibur, which was his first Minelab metal detector.

On the beach, looking for Spanish treasure, Gary is a fan of the GPX 5000's incredible, deep detection capability and its big Commander search coils. He uses the Equinox 800 while going on metal-detecting vacations, and his CTX 3030 is his go-to tool for most tourist beach jewelry searches.

The amazing 300-year-old Emerald Treasure Ring, valued at $500,000, is Gary's most treasured discovery.

Gary has been hooked on detecting because of the excitement of the hunt and the incredible moment when you find something from your family that has been lost for hundreds of years.

To share his many years of knowledge with other detectorists, Gary has included a full description of his special beach and water hunting tactics and search procedures in his book series.

In addition, he has a YouTube channel and a blog, and he appears in the History Channel series 'The Curse of Oak Island'.

What is 'The Curse of Oak Island' star Rick Lagina's net worth?

Possessing a $10 million net worth, Rick is not only a former postal worker but also a renowned reality television personality hailing from the United States. His widespread recognition is credited to 'The Curse of Oak Island,' a reality TV series that premiered on the History Channel in 2014.

Rick's fascination with Oak Island dates back to 1965 when, at the age of eleven, he came across an article in Reader's Digest.

The piece narrated the story of the Restall family, who had previously explored the island in pursuit of a long-lost rumored treasure.

The show primarily revolves around Rick Lagina, a native of Kingsford, Michigan, and his brother Marty Lagina, as they embark on a quest to uncover the alleged hidden treasure on the island.

Currently, Marty and Rick hold a majority stake in Oak Island Tours, the company that owns the island. Various theories surround the origin of the treasure, with one of the most well-known ones suggesting that North African gold traders from the 1300s abandoned the treasure.
