'Game of Thrones': Daenerys Targaryan's fate in Season 8 was perhaps revealed in Season 2

Daenerys Targaryan is a queen with many qualities but the one quality that truly sets her apart from the rest of the rulers before her is her sense of justice. However, more than her sense of justice, personally, Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) perhaps cares about nothing more than her three dragons who are the only children she will ever have.

HBO's 'Game of Thrones' will soon return with Season 8, and as we believe, the queen who is the mother of the last dragons is about to head for her throne very soon. However, the question remains will she really get to sit on the throne? The answer was perhaps given to us way back in Season 2, right after Khal Drogo's (Jason Momoa) death.

While visiting the House of the Undying in Qarth, Daenerys, when tied up in chains, sees a vision. In an already dilapidated snow-covered King's Landing, she finds herself right in front of the Iron Throne. However, right when she is about to step on to it and touch it, she is distracted by the cries of a child.

As Daenerys begins to follow the cry, she walks towards what seems to be the gates of Castle Black at the Wall, and she gradually walks out stepping into a blizzard beyond the Wall. Her vision gets even bizarre when we notice a tent in the middle of the blizzard, and the moment she steps inside, the blizzard disappears and everything is sunny again.

Daenerys meets Khal Drogo and their unborn child in the tent, and the two discuss whether what they are seeing is a dream or simply something they are unable to understand. However, as they are discussing and Daenerys meets her son who was never born, she is once again distracted by the cries of her dragons who were back then babies themselves.

She leaves Drogo telling him that he would always be the man she loved, and after that, as we know, for the first time, the dragons breathe fire and Daenerys runs free. Over the course of the next few seasons, we forgot about the visions just as much as Daenerys herself perhaps did but with Season 8 coming, fans have dug out a connection between the Queen's fate and this particular vision.

According to what a fan mentioned, Daenerys' vision has been coming true over the course of Season 7. Just when she was about to attack King's Landing with her dragons, she is distracted by the news of Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) and the others being attacked by the White Walkers. Immediately she reaches beyond the Wall with her three dragons, but Viserion is killed and turned into the Night King's pet. She returns to the man she now loves, Jon Snow, and sets sail with him as they are about to reach Winterfell. However, the fan also stated that perhaps there is that one part lingering which will come true in Season 8.

The fan explained, "Dany going towards the throne, but is drawn beyond the wall = when, in S7, Dany was going to go attack Kings Landing and take the throne by force, but she was told Jon and company beyond The Wall need rescuing - goes beyond the wall. S2 vision: Dany hearing the dragon cries = S7 the dragons crying beyond the wall after Viserion was killed by the NK [Night King]."

In the end it could be that both Drogon and Rhaegal will also be killed by the Night King and since Daenerys wants nothing more than her babies, she will probably move to the other side and finally sit on a throne that is now made of ice, instead of iron.

The fan concluded, "believe that the Night King is after Dany to be either his new queen or to take over as queen (him wanting peace=death). One way or another, both living dragons will die in battle. Distraught by losing her dragons, Dany [will] be persuaded to join the Night King to be reunited with her dragons = she gets her ICE THRONE." So, does this mean that our beloved Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons, will finally end up being an Ice Queen? We will only know when the show returns with Season 8, on April 14.
