Gabriella Brooks shares BF Liam Hemsworth's pic as Miley Cyrus releases fiery single on ex's birthday
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's on-and-off relationship saga is once again in the headlines. The former lovers who filed for a divorce in 2019, gave a number of reasons that led up to it. And it appears the 'Malibu' singer still has a few jabs left to take at the 'Hunger Games' actor. Cyrus, 30, took the opportunity of Hemsworth's 33rd birthday on Friday, January 13, to release a new single titled 'Flowers'. Fans are convinced that the song is directed at her decade-long relationship with former partner Hemsworth.
However, it looks like Hemsworth's current flame, Gabriella Brooks might have had the last word. Brooks took to her Instagram to post a cryptic birthday tribute to celebrate the Aussie star's 33rd birthday. "It's Liam day!" she wrote, alongside a snap of Hemsworth taking a dip in the ocean with a grin on his face and a series of emojis, including a pink heart and a birthday cake. Her post came just hours after Cyrus released an ultimate self-love anthem of the year which along the way taunted her on-and-off relationship with Hemsworth.

The 26-year-old model and Hemsworth have been together for three years and were first spotted together in December 2019 at a brunch with the actor's parents, Craig and Leonie, in Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia, as per People. The couple shut down the rumors of a breakup after making their first red carpet appearance in 2020. "Liam and Gabriella have spent a lot of time in Australia together," a source told People of the duo in January 2020 and emphasized at the time that the two were "getting serious."
The couple is rarely seen on each other's social media but went Instagram official in June 2021, with Liam sharing a photo of himself, Brooks, and his brother Chris Hemsworth along with Chris's wife Elsa Pataky, and Matt Damon's wife, Luciana Barroso, in attendance at the Gold Dinner 2021 in Sydney, reported the outlet.
Meanwhile, Cyrus’ recent breakup anthem 'Flowers' is dominating the charts with its lyrics directly pointing at her ex-Hemsworth. Lyrics such as "We were good, we were gold, kind of dream that can't be sold," is likely referencing her failed marriage to the ‘Empire State’ actor. The two-time Grammy award nominee also references the Australian star's sudden act of filing for divorce by singing, "I didn't want to leave you / I didn't wanna lie / Started to cry."
According to the DailyMail, the Disney Channel alum was willing to work on their marriage and was taken aback when Hemsworth filed for divorce only eight months after the couple tied the knot in December 2018.
