Pugh’s 2023 looks promising
Undoubtedly, Pugh just experienced her most successful year till date. The actor, who is featured on Vanity Fair’s Hollywood cover for 2023, starred in the sexual thriller Don't Worry Sweetheart, opening it at number one. She also filmed ‘Oppenheimer’, one of the most eagerly anticipated movies of 2023 after ‘Dune: Part two’. As a rising star, Pugh has lauded her role in the eagerly awaited Dune: Part Two. The ‘Little Woman’ actress is in awe of her co-star, Chalamet’s acting skills and it shows!
It’s raining young Hollywood
Pugh while in conversation with Vanity Fair said, “They’re stars in their own ways, not in the cliché way of using the word. They’re just—they’re sparkly people. I’m now lucky enough to call them all my friends, which is super exciting. For me to be able to work with the “young Hollywood” of the moment, and them being beautiful people, and then have them on my phone when I want to text them—to see that that’s the direction in which our industry is going is such a wonderful feeling”.
To Pugh’s satements, we wonder if Florence Pugh is the Kate Winslet of this generation if Chalamet is DiCaprio? They may both be British bombshells with blonde hair who have received early career award acclaim. But, there is also a certain elegance about the two of them that makes these comparisons appropriate for them.
Remarkable people and unbelievable actors
Pugh is just one of many highly sought-after young actors who will appear in the movie, along with returning cast members Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, as well as fellow newcomer (and recent Oscar candidate) Austin Butler. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Pugh recently discussed the merits of working on the film with other excellent actors with promising careers, saying she can learn so much from them.
“He's our Leo”, Pugh said. Let's pause right here and give that some serious thought. Timothée Chalamet's comparison to a young Leonardo DiCaprio is both audacious and accurate at this moment in time. Both actors entered the business at a young age, were giving outstanding performances, and appeared to be front-runners for all important roles.
Chalamet is well on his way to greater and better things, even though he still has a ways to go before catching up to Leo-Mania. Pugh didn't stop at glorifying Timothée. She also lavished praise on her fellow cast members, especially Zendaya.
