'I am fully aware of their size': Florence Pugh blasts 'VULGAR' trolling over see-through dress
Florence Pugh is undoubtedly one of the finest talents that Hollywood has right now and she has the credentials to prove it. From ‘Little Women’ to ‘Midsommar’, the actress has taken everyone by storm through her acting skills. However, she recently made everyone her fan when she called out sexist trolls who criticized her for wearing a dress that showcased her toned physique.
The ‘Black Widow’ star addressed the commentary swirling around a dress that she chose to wear and didn’t hold back in slamming the trolls who began trashing her for wearing a dress that she loved wholeheartedly. While making an appearance at this year’s Valentino Haute Couture event, Pugh decided to wear a sheer pink gown by the aforementioned brand and gathered a lot of praise. However, there were sick trolls who began criticizing her for wearing the pink dress and showing her “small” breasts.

The actress just couldn’t deviate from such comments and gave a befitting reply to the trolls through her official Instagram profile. Pugh said that she “anticipated” such reaction for wearing a dress that completely exposed her chest, but was disgusted by “just how vulgar” the reactions were online. The star also noted how easy it is for men to “destroy” a woman’s body and be proud of doing so.
“Listen, I knew when I wore that incredible Valentino dress that there was no way there wouldn’t be a commentary on it. Whether it be negative or positive, we all knew what we were doing.
I was excited to wear it, not a wink of me was nervous. I wasn’t before, during or even now after. What’s been interesting to watch and witness is just how easy it is for men to totally destroy a woman’s body, publicly, proudly, for everyone to see,” Pugh wrote in an Instagram post along with the photos of herself in the beautiful Valentino gown.
Pugh also stated that this is not the first and certainly not the last time that a woman had to hear so much nonsense about her body. She also criticized men who were “disappointed” to see her small breasts and asked them why are they so “scared” of breasts even if it was small or large. She added, “So many of you wanted to aggressively let me know how disappointed you were by my ‘tiny tits’, or how I should be embarrassed by being so ‘flat chested’. I’ve lived in my body for a long time. I’m fully aware of my breast size and am not scared of it. What’s more concerning is…. Why are you so scared of breasts? Small? Large? Left? Right? Only one? Maybe none? What. Is. So. Terrifying.”
Fortunately, the actress has come to terms with ignoring such people and embraces her body with all the “flaws” that she couldn’t bear to look at when she was young. She concluded her post by telling sexist trolls to “grow up” and “respect bodies” because that way, their lives will become a lot easier.
“If being loudly abusive towards women publicly in 2022 is so easy for you, then the answer is that it is you who doesn’t know. Grow up. Respect people. Respect bodies. Respect all women. Respect humans. Life will get a whole lot easier, I promise. And all because of two cute little nipples,” she concluded.
As soon as her comments surfaced online, a lot of women came to defend her choice and supported her. One of the social media users said, “I don't understand the nasty comments, she looked great.” Another social media user wrote, “Why are people criticizing her for wearing what she wants to wear. I’m disappointed in what social media has become when it comes to slandering.” Another social media user said, “Funny thing is, I can guarantee 99% of the men criticizing her body would NEVER stand a chance getting a girl as good looking as Florence.” Another user tweeted, “The fact that anyone thinks they have the right to comment on someone's body just because they don't like it is absurd to me.”

This is not the first time Pugh has faced a lot of backlash on social media. In 2020, the actress revealed that she received horrifying comments when the world got to know about her relationship with actor Zach Braff. Even at that time, Pugh had to come forward and address the “abuse” that she had to go through.
