Finneas O'Connell, Kesha, DJ Shadow and Noah Cyrus, among others, are set to perform in the newly expanded digital Fader Fort event. In an effort to raise money for musicians and entertainment professionals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the two-day event boasts performances and content from over 100 artists. Fader Fort will air nine-hour broadcasts on Tuesday, March 31 and Wednesday, April 1 from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm ET.

Phantogram, Brian Fallon, Hinds, Jessie Reyez, Girlpool, Half Waif, Rod Wave, Aminé, Earthgang, G Herbo, JoJo x Lido and RMR will be among the other participating artists at the event that will also see several surprise guests making an appearance, according to Rolling Stone.

The digital event will host a unique mix of performances and other content. Kesha will debut a new song from the intro of her documentary series 'My Crazy Beautiful Life', G Herbo will share some behind-the-scenes footage from a recent tour. Other content will include Phantogram delivering a personal message while Guapdad 4000 is hosting a cooking segment and Ashnikko who will “sing along to her hit single ‘Tantrum’ as she’s getting a wax”, according to NME. The digital event artists will “premiere new music and reimagine standouts from their back catalogues, while some will go in another direction entirely”, according to The Fader.

The Fader Fort is an annual invitation-only event held at Austin Texas's South by Southwest (SXSW) and was started in 2001. Fader Fort is consistently one of the most exclusive and most large-scale SXSW events every single year. Unlike other traditional SXSW events, you have to subscribe to The Fader's official email subscriber list for a chance to be sent an RSVP. Renowned artists who have performed at the event include Drake, Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B and many more.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, SXSW recently had to lay off 50 of its employees, so the new digital show may prove a substantial help for the entertainment industry.

The full line-up with time slots for Fader Fort 2020 will be announced Tuesday (March 31) morning, and details for the April 1 line-up will follow on March 31 afternoon. All performances will be available for a 24-hour window at the Fader Fort website.
